Secret to creating a successful game:

1. Acquire license

2. Turn it into a '3D Action Adventure'... with guns.

3. Put the word 'Underground' in the title.

4. Sell, sell, sell!!

Secret to selling game to Nintendo fans:

1. Put Mario in it.

2. That's it.

See what I've done there? ;)

....?

Not really.

Nintendo fans realise wether or not a game is viable for purchase taking into account reviews and their own personal experience.

Nintendo fanboys soak up everything do do with nintendo becuase they're obsessives.

There's a large difference

Are those the ten games you own? If so, I'd like to make the following predictions that are probably also true about you:

- You only own a PS2

- You have 2 controllers, the one that came with the ps2 and a 3rd party one

- You keep the PS2 in a cupboard, rather than having it plugged in all the time

- you have your speakers covered in the same wallpaper as your lounge

- you have your TV in a special closeable cupboard so that it can't be seen when people come over for dinner parties

- you listen to Dido, Coldplay and Norah Jones

- you drive a Mondeo to your holiday cottage in Devon every summer

.::: I wouldn't be as troubled by it, were it not for the fact that MoHRS just suffers from utterly anal game design.

Frontline I could cope with and on a certain level appreciate, but this....

The rest of the list seems fine by me. You can still call those games without feeling guilty about it and some of them are rather fun.

No... That list is the official top 10 mate. I don't own a single game on that list.

Does it really matter?

Does it stop "good" games being released? Nope.

Does it mean you *have* to buy them. Nope.

Is it any different to any other entertainment media chart. Nope.

Well, if bad (well, mediocre) games sell well and good games sell badly, then we look at clever original games finding it harder to get publishers.

Won't happen, hasn't happened, will never happen.

Enjoy yourself.

Not suprised really. Go into any branch of (EA)GAME and take a look at the ceiling. How many EA ads can you fit in one store? Who else got a 'special EA advent calender thing' in the post from (EA)GAME? The same thing happened last year when I temped at Christmas. The thing is, I've gotta go out later and buy the 'Return of the King' game on Xbox for my brother....

So when do you reckon we'll see Harry Potter: Underground, FIFA: Underground and LotR: Underground?

On second thought that's probably the top three sellers next Christmas... ;)

How do you know? You don't know the future... Oh, wait, we've had this discussion before... But then it was you making this claim... I'm scared! Hold me! ;)

That's not what Edge has been saying, is it?
