See, I took that as some kind of Borg precursor. Oh well.

In other Enterprise news, Malcolm + Trip = LOLS. Every time. :D

Yar????

She was bloody terrible. Although extra points for worf as counsellor so you're forgiven.

Well, someone is definitely going to die on that ship so I picked the obvious choice.

Aha. Good thinking.

I'd definitely have O'Brien doing his tng job of hanging about the transporter room all day in case something needed transporting.

If someone is inevitably going to die though, I'd hire Neelix as cannon fodder.

Lwaxana as captain with holo lwaxana's in every other position for maximum terror. Neelix as ship's computer.

Deanna Troi as nightmare helms(wo)man surely. Didn’t she crash the Enterprise multiple times?

Also Odo as counsellor please, that dude gives no shits for any of your problems.

Image it: St Burnham takes the ship on a narcissistic voyage of starting wars all over the galaxy because it's her destiny, while Reed gets to live up his jackboot shipshape fantasies while she's away. Tilly is breathlessly annoying about everything, Bashir is too busy swiping on Tinder to notice you have the Nausicaan Flu, Nog is, well, Nog. Wesley as pilot is sure to work out well... O'Brien finally gets some responsibility only to be confronted with the fact he and no-one else has any idea what he's doing. And the last two speak for themselves. Neelix as councillor is the stuff of nightmares.

I'm not keen on the Enterprise episode "Stigma":

Spoiler

When it tries to tackle the subject of rape it manages to end up going about it in a largely hamfisted manner. All of the male characters are constantly deciding when and where T'pol should be revealing she was assaulted and despite her wishes to the contrary a supposedly on their side character ultimately takes that choice away from her. Archer even admits he's pleased about it later when it means she can stay on the ship. He's pretty aggressive with T'pol throughout the episode as well when it comes to her wishes, only relenting a little towards the end. The message about prejudice with HIV that it's trying to convey while wrapped up in T'pol's personal trauma is confusing at best and comes across as not really knowing enough about the subjects it's trying to deal with to not come across as extremely patriarchal for the most part.

It's also horribly undermined by some truly awful Carry On humour sub plot wedged right into it where it least belonged.

Paris isn't getting anywhere near my ship on pain of being spaced.

I’ve been playing Star Trek Timelines again lately, it’s oddly compulsive even if it is your typical mobile game with cooldowns, timers, eight different types of currency and special offers for only £99.99. But it pays real attention to detail and there’s a lot to like there if you’re a fan of the series. Plus it’s got a great LCARS interface and playing it on an iPad feels like something straight out of TNG. It’s the little things that count.

The absolute best bit though is collecting unlikeable crew members and immediately flushing them out of the airlock. I’ve spaced three different versions of Tilly this week alone and let me tell you, that feels great.

O'Brien does not deserve to be on that ship either. Did you not see every episode with him in it on DS9?!? Guys been through enough. Dont assign him to Captain Clusterfuck.

It would be the perfect footnote in Miles' ongoing saga of being royally shat upon.

I never realised that was an actual webcomic, just seen the odd panel as above, now I'm laughing my tits off. Some of them are bloody great.

I've been endlessly fascinated by how good the props are in Enterprise compared to Discovery. People fiddle with devices that actually look like machines and not paper mache boxes on stilts.

To be fair on Discovery, Enterprise was able to hit the studio vault for years and years worth of long built props across several different shows, movies and loads of TV seasons. Discovery will be building everything from scratch to a budget at speed.

Trip just referred to Mary Shelley as "the wife of a famous poet". The casual sexism of the 22nd century continues.

Just started an episode of Enterprise where I recognised Andreas Katsulas' voice almost immediately. Then I got sad :(
