picked up:

Call of duty black op, Skate 2 and Valkyria Chronicles for £7.98 each

Nier for £2.98

and Killzone 2 for 48p

Nothing magical or special but all stuff that's been on my "buy it when it's a bargain" list.

Had a chat to the staff, the shop in Fleet is closing anyway as the rent is too high, but they talked about a lot of other shops getting closed in the next few weeks. They didn't know what was happening from one moment to the next. The staff are talking about holiday pay and if its worth booking anything.

The shelves looked like they'd been through very thoroughly by some one who knew what they wanted. A couple of Dark souls, Lego harry potter and a lot of FIFA and Tiger woods titles.

There was a line of east Europeans and chavs offloading every game they own.

It was all rather sad.

We need a Rick update. Shares down 22% to 3.5p today! It's a buying opportunity, he'll tell us...

I believe he's Brera in the neogaf thread. Last updates:

From posts on here and other places, it looks like GAME has revitalised their sales! The more games people buy, the less they'll buy from HMV etc!

My share price is less than 4p again. Let it hit 2p and I'm gonna buy another £1000 worth. I'll have to borrow the cash from zonga till payday.

Just been browsing my finance forums. Quite a few nervous people around. But there have been quite a few big buys today, plenty of people buying in.

Looks to me that the price is being brought down by the market makers and next week a few more big buys will bring it to around 5p.

The next 2 weeks are gonna be bumpy

I got bayonetta, Deus Ex human revolution, lost odyssey, fire emblem radiant dawn, new play control pikmin, killone 2 and space marine for around the price of one brand new game...

Shame for those losing their jobs, but the boys at the top will walk away scott free

There were a lot of people stood outside the store with the copy of Mass Effect 3 they had bought in HMV taking their photo holding it up and pointing....

The staff in the store (there are two stores in my town, one is full of great guys who love games and dont treat you like a walking target, the other is horrible) were muttering a lot about the preowned sale

I did see one fella throwing a lot of mass effect preorder keyrings in the bin....

Can anyone going in see if they can grab me BlazBlue Continuum Shift for the 360? Only 360, as that's what my sticks are for. Only if under a fiver though. I'll take Calamity Trigger if that's <£2, but I'm really after Continuum Shift.

I was in Game earlier today and picked up a copy of Nier for PS3, noticed a few people on here looking for a copy and I've got plenty of games to keep me busy, so if anyone would like it just send me a message :)

They'll be in administration within a week. They are hoping to clear as much stock out this weekend as they can. The staff have given up on all the bullshit at the till and are just serving people and being good human beings. They deserve a massive amount of respect from us gamers.

Will this be going on tomorrow? I've been wanting to move my fighting game library to the PS3 (Free online innit), so this would be the perfect chance.

You might struggle to find any fighting games by tomorrow, but the sale will still be on I think.

To add the random shopping result posts I picked up 21 games earlier for £54 to use up my final credit.

highlights were probably dragonball z ten.. 3 for £5, F1 2010 for £3, rogue trooper wii for £2.

I bought a load of 360 games for my nephew who is getting my old 360 tomorrow, including halo 3, pgr 4 and fifa 11. A lot of the games I bought today were blatently brand new. Almost all of the wii games were untouched and included their unused points card.

Sad scenes in there really with plenty of people with armfulls of games and 1 guy with about 5 ps2s.

Not much 360 stuff in the central Cardiff stores today. Manager was telling staff to make sure games weren't stacked behind each other, but the 360 shelves were pretty much one game per space.

The PS3 shelves looked stacked though.

Went into Gamestation Walsall yesterday and overheard a customer walk up to the counter and say, "This is gonna sound mad, but do you sell SNES games?" :D

One of the great things about Gamestation before Game bought them was that they sold absolutely everything games related including retro and obscure stuff. It used to be such a joy to shop in, practically a shrine to the hobby, acting more like a small indie than a chain store.

Are they sad scenes? They're just clearing out crap at eBay prices...I think a lot of people on places like HotdealsUK are so determined to get a 'bargain' that they're ignoring that.

Most of the stuff is around eBay price, worth getting though if it's something you want. Only Killzone 2 is mental prices at 48p. Most of the staff seemed to think it would turn out ok and all 3 shops asked me to sign up for reward card, told me about trading in 3 games deal etc. Didn't really feel like a completely dead company.

Seemed to be mostly rllmuk types in there to be honest, just flicking through, picking the good titles and walking out with 10 or so games.

I think the sad bit was seeing the staff just expect that everyone will put everything on ebay. The guy who served me was shocked when I told him that I hadn't bought any of the game with the intention of selling them on.

It is just sad to see something that was once great in such a state. As much as I have despised their recent practices, it is still sad to see a store that has been with me throughout my last 20 years of gaming going this way.

They'll be disappointed if they do put it on eBay. As mentioned above, good deals if you want the game, but stuff like Killzone 2 fails to sell for 99p.

Are there any genuine 'could be sold profit' offers?

I think people are over playing this being 'the end of days' preowned sale a little.
