Also, I have Smallworld - it's practically new (played twice, still in great nick). It's a great game that I really enjoy and don't want to trade, but unfortunately I've got nobody to play it with, so it's not really worth holding on to. Have a look at my wishlist if you're interested, but I'd also consider other stuff, especially games that are good with 2 players.

If you could wait until May, I could trade you a copy of Lost Cities and a copy of Battle Lines for that, if you'd be interested. The only provisos- the Lost Cities is a Chinese Edition (identical, except that the rules and box are in Chinese) and Battle Lines is not in the original box ( I moved it to a tub in order to take it traveling). The games themselves are in excellent condition though. Let me know.

Thanks for the offer, but my girlfriend has recently told me that she doesn't like the look of Lost Cities, so I've taken that off my wishlist.

Also, I was hoping to get a trade sorted before May.

No worries. Funnily enough, my girlfriend isn't that crazy about Lost Cities either (which is a shame as I think it's great), though she loves Battle Lines. If you're looking for two player games, I'd highly recommend it.

Been a while since I last mentioned this, but I have a copy of Dungeoneer:

http://www.amazon.co.uk/Realm-Ice-Witch-Dungeoneer-Cards/dp/B000UJ8YCW/ref=sr_1_10?ie=UTF8&qid=1333304749&sr=8-10

I've also made four laminated playmats from a PDF on Boardgamegeek, and have some dice also that I'll supply with it - so you have a more "complete" game than what's normally included in the £18 set.

As for wants, I'm interested in deck building games or dungeon crawler games - but ideally ones that are a bit simpler than Dungeoneer, and have the players working together (in Dungeoneer you compete with each other unless using house rules) or have 1-multiple hero players against a player villain. Ideally something with fewer metrics would be nice (as Dungeoneer has a few resources to track). To be honest though I'll consider most things.

Also any Battletech or Heavy Gear stuff, I'd be all over that.

Still have the previous things I listed on offer as well as another:

  • Citadels (with Dark City Expansion) - fun, but we've kind of gone off it around here, so it never gets a look in.
  • Smallworld - which I absolutely adore, but nobody else I know will play with me :( Has only been played twice - great condition
  • Tannhauser - which I liked initially, but never really gets played anymore - we prefer shorter, less serious games around here. Comes with the revised rulebook, as well as some extra thingies I've printed to make the game easier to play (reference cards, equipment charts, overwatch tokens).

As before, I will consider most things in a trade, particularly (but not exclusively) good two player games or card games. I also have a wishlist, so if you want to swap for anything on it, I'm almost guaranteed to agree.

All gone now!

Is anyone interested in the rulebook for the BESM RPG system?

http://rpggeek.com/rpg/773/besm-2nd-edition

This is the 2nd edition rulebook; due to an eBay slip-up I've got two copies on the way, and only need one.

The book is an RPG system with an anime theme, designed to be easily adaptable to any anime-based scenario (and apparently it can be applied to most cinematic non-anime scenarios too); although you can buy more books with settings, equipment etc. the book has everything you need stats and system-wise to run adventures. It's one of the RPG systems that doesn't need miniatures or anything like that, and uses 6-sided dice instead of more specialised ones.

I'm unsure how much to sell it for, as I had to pay a reasonable amount - the book is out of print and I had to order it from the USA. Say £15+postage?

Oh also, I have a copy of the 2004 edition of RISK. This version uses the pseudo-Napoleonic wars style art, rather than some newer versions.

I'll exchange it for practically any other board game apart from Monopoly, or RPG materials :) Perhaps Cluedo? In any case, any offers are welcome.

I got a second copy of the Lord of the Rings: The Board Game the other day, from a charity shop.

Orange variant cover, like this:

61SZ0ZZ0BVL._SL500_AA300_.jpg

It's in good condition apart from 2 of the Hobbit figures have broken pieces (so you'd need to use something else, like miniatures) and there's one (out of 32) shield tokens missing (easy to print another).

I'd happily trade for donpeartree's Tannhauser (although I know that one's much more valuable!!) or anything off my wish list. But will consider almost anything!

Anyone fancy A Few Acres of Snow?

I got it in the UK Maths trade on bgg, but I just can't bring myself to read the rules and learn how to play. It looks quite dense.

And there's other stuff that I'd rather play.

edit: Might make things a bit easier if I add my BGG wishlist and you can see what kinds of games I'm looking for.

The rules do seem pretty complex, and it can take a while to explain it to anyone else just due to the sheer volume of actions that are available in the game. When you play it though it just flows fantastically well, and your hand and tactics mean your only ever considering a few actions at any time rather than having to keep every single one in mind any turn. In short: don't let the rules put you off, keep it and get it played as it is brilliant!

If you do want to offload AFAOS then I've got a copy of the Summoner Wars Master Set I'd be willing to trade. It's in perfect condition and only played eight times. I love the game but of those eight games against my dad I won eight times and he now hates it, so it's highly unlikely to ever get played again.

Got round to trying A Few Acres of Snow, but it's not really our bag, so back on the trade pile it goes, along with some other games:

A Few Acres of Snow

Dungeon Run

7 Wonders

Mr Jack in New York

Jab: Realtime Boxing

Blokus Duo

Duel of Ages: Worldspanner

Once again, I really enjoy most of these games, but sue to lack of people to play with, I would rather have something that's going to get played.

I'll trade for pretty much anything in my bgg wishlist, but I'll also consider other stuff, particularly if it is mid-light and not lengthy.

I have Thunderstone Dragonspire that I've played three or four times (the theme doesn't do it for me, I prefer dominion) and would be happy to swap for something.

I'ld love to swap it for Battlestar if johnny still has it and is interested, but open to anything I don't have.

(also: willing to post first to an established poster, as I'm well aware im a lurker)

It's a long shot, but does anyone have an Axis & Allies War at Sea Starter set they no longer want? Specifically the original one from 2008 rather than the currently available version. I would like to trade cold hard cash for it. Or AT-43. Someone somewhere must want that.......
