Finished it. Somehow 6 episodes felt like 20. Mostly hot garbage.

Spoiler

I especially enjoyed virus boy telling all his virus chums at the end that they had to go out and kill a load of people, only for one chap to pipe up that he didn't fancy killing anyone, only for virus boy to basically go, no! The plot demands we all fight!

I've gotten addicted to Schitt's Creek to the point where very little else is getting a look in at the moment. Was a bit middling for the first few episodes but it starts picking up steam in the second half of season 1 and by season 2 it's just great episode after great episode. And while the whole cast is great, Catherine O'Hara is amazing. Her comedic chops are something else.

New season of "Selling Sunset" added today.

I expect as a middle age man I'm not their target audience, but it's fabulous 'real life' drama. Top of my guilty pleasures list.

Anything with overpriced American houses being sold by overtanned American models is great news. Means my wife will have something to watch and I can fuck off and play videogames.

That looks great!

Thanks everyone who recommended the Rubik’s cube mini doc, what a great little slice! I was properly welling up at the end, really emotional stuff about the relationship between the two champs.

I'm very late to the party on this, but I'm watching Avatar: The Last Airbender with my kids. I'm around two-thirds of the way through it.

It's an incredible piece of storytelling. I thought it would 'just' be a very good Saturday-morning-style cartoon, perhaps over-hyped through nostalgia. It's not.

It has character development that would put most live action dramas to shame. The animation is superb. It's funny. It's touching. It's tense. Decent, complex villains. The world-building and design are second to none. The themes touched on aren't Saturday morning cartoon themes at all - racism, misogyny, government over-reach, the military industrial complex, dictatorships, disability, abuse... the list goes on. And the action scenes, particularly as the series progresses toward the end of season one, are brilliantly realised using beautiful animation.

I've just completed season 2 of 3. Thinking back to the first episode, it's hard to believe it has turned out to be this incredible show. The first episode was good for sure, but the world was so small.

And all this within tight 20 minute episodes.

If you haven't seen it yet for some reason, give it a go.

Trailer for the new film The Devil All the Time coming out 16th September. Really strong cast; Robert Pattinson, Bill Skarsgård,  Riley Keough, Jason Clarke, Sebastian Stan, Eliza Scanlen, Mia Wasikowska and Tom Holland.

Synopsis is: 'In Knockemstiff, Ohio and its neighboring backwoods, sinister characters — an unholy preacher (Pattinson), twisted couple (Clarke and Keough), and crooked sheriff (Stan) — converge around young Arvin Russell (Holland) as he fights the evil forces that threaten him and his family.'

I think I could happily rate it as the greatest "kid's" cartoon ever made.

So I'm very late to the party on this one but Anthony Bourdain Parts Unknown is fucking fantastic! I've heard people mention him many times but I assumed his show/s would be standard cooking shows which I'm not a great fan of, but Parts Unknown is more than just a food travelogue, he really dives into the areas culture and history and the people and it's just marvelous TV, and there's 12 series!!! So good.

And when you're done, you don't want to miss A Cook's Tour, No Reservations and The Layover! Most of the eps for these are on Prime

Awesome cheers!

Just had a look and it's only S8 of No Reservations on Prime, so you may have to *cough* look elsewhere for the rest of the series.

All of The Layover and A Cook's Tour are there though

Funny....I find her character to be too far beyond the level of believability in comparison to the other characters - still love it though.
