My copy of The Split also turned up today. Had a look through the cards and rules and looking forward to playing the game soon. One rules query, am I right in thinking that apart from the initial setup players only get cheat cards if they get a 5 card hand with 21 or under?

@jonnyalpha You get a free Cheat card if you hit a five card hand and survive The Deal part of the round, but you can also get them from some of the Cash Loot Cards (10k gives you the money and a card, 30k gives you the money OR a card). 

 

@therearerulescards and box came from a UK company called Spingold who normally do personalised card decks. Rules were printed locally here in Belfast! I'm... reasonably happy with how the game turned out, lots of lessons learnt for project 2, coming in March.

Thank you. Excited! Good luck with the new company. I’ll be keeping a closer eye on things from you now. I haven’t backed anything of yours since that first failed Kickstarter nine years ago.

After much deliberation, I ended up backing Final Girl at the "Full Franchise" level. I swore off Kickstarter, but had no luck finding Hostage Negotiator for a sensible price, so as this seems to be the same game system with a theme that's more appealing to me, I can juuust about justify it...

...Then I saw Restoration Games have a kickstarter up, and I'm already reaching for the credit card...and this is why I don't let myself look at Kickstarter!

Had this arrive last week as well, its by far the most over the top kickstarter I've done and will likely ever do, picked up everything available with exception of what I had from the last kickstarter (base game, SG box, black panther and black order expansions). I ended up needing to get a kallax just for this (now using a mini kallax as a desk...). Enjoyed my first foray into mini painting woth the base game so now have enough minis to paint to last me the rest of my life...

I am teh jelous - still impatiently waiting for my all-in to even be dispatched ☹️ Hopefully this week is the week for me!

 

Out of interest any damage to your inserts or mini's? I see lots of people in the K'starter comments saying the inserts are brittle and have split or even disintegrated, ending up in some peoples Sentinels and other mini's arriving broken.

No problem with mine. All the inserts and figures arrived pristine.

Have a few broken and bashed  inserts, worst one being the stretch goals but it's the card part as there's a lot of weight in the cards, no damage to them though.

 

Sadly my sentinels have taken a little bit of a beating, just a few fingers snapped off, doesn't seem that bad by comparison to most but they don't look easily fixable with glue, feel bad asking for replacements but at the same time I spent so much cash on getting everything I'd like everything in one piece so I will give glue a try and if not put in a ticket.

Definitely - CMON support seem to be suggesting that they view the inserts as disposable so likely won't be replaced, but the Sentinels are a whole different thing.

 

Any idea what backer numbers you were @LiMuBai @Munkienut? I'm just over the 2500 mark, and trying to work out if I should be alarmed that I still haven't heard a peep about dispatch or delivery.
