Well I've never played a game to completion for 6 days, averaging about 10 hours a day.

Hats of to KOTOR and Bioware, got to be my game of the year. At last Star Wars done right.

Has anyone played the PC version? What is the space station like...any new missions?

What is wrong with me? :(

Racked up around 10 hours wandering around the sewers on the first planet, didn't enjoy the fighting, hated the controls, slightly fancied the blue girl, got bored, sold it.

And that's coming from an EQ player of 2 years :)

Weird.

It's only once I started to complete a few mini-quests that I got hooked. I've clocked in 30hrs this week.

On the water world now (in the underwater bit) but I can't help but feel I'm running into a dead-end. Hopefully it won't stop me from wanting to finish the game.

I only spent about three hours in the sewers and then the game totally opened up.

Ditto. You're kind of waiting for something really big to happen for the first part of the game. And then after 15 hours or so you think "nothing big's happened"........but thats it. You've been playing for that long already simply because the game is so immersive and addictive.

And when something big does happen...........

..........

..........

KABLOOEY!

It was fantastic but the end didn't leave me with the same warm feeling that other games I have played this year have (such as skies of arcadia or ff7). The story (which is so important in an rpg) felt a bit uneavenly paced, unlike some of the greats there was little urgency, just a strole around some planets. You ended up being much more absorbed in the micro stories on the different planets than the overall plot. This was made worse by the patheticness of darth malek, he hardly made and appearence. I'm nitpicking though when we're talking about such a great game.

Will my man, the story is what made KOTOR so great for me, it makes you feel as if you are real Luke Skywalker and that plot twist was supberb imo

game of the year indeed!!!!

One of the best games I've played this year. Very slow and tedious during the first 5-10 hours and then it suddenly opened up and I couldn't stop playing until I completed it. As soon as the credits finished rolling I started again from scratch and didn't stop until I've completed it a second time. That's more than 80 hours in about two weeks.

I'm SO glad I didn't give up during these first 10 hours.

Sort of. The Characters were great, and I loved the who ancients idea, but the star maps/ starforge was a bit lame. Great twist though. Perhaps I don't like the freedom offered by the choose your character hero, maybe I want a 'Vyse' to follow and drive me on.

I just got bored of it, put it away and have not felt the need to go back to it.

I think it was way to hyped and I was expecting something amazing, what I got was crap graphics, stupid cut scenes, and what felt like 'out of my hands' combat.

Just got Deux Ex II and this is exactly what I was expecting KOTOR to play like.

I really don't get why everyone raves about KOTOR. I was really looking forward to it, I'm a big fan of RPG's but I just found it really dreary

I am thinking the same of the game...but I think the reason is, I hate the combats....I feel like I'm just watching, not doing nothing, not having Numbers, and many possible attacks....and don't like to control the party like that....it just feels strange to me.....bit then again...I'm just managed 2 and a half hours through the game...got bored.
