I love the theorising. My top pick is for this one, suggested earlier:

  Reveal hidden contents

NK is nowhere near Winterfell, and is actually attacking King's Landing using Viserion. That way, Cersei's plan is ruined along with the Winterfell strategy. The NK's generals make the crypt-dwellers all animated corpse-y, meaning lots of characters still get offed.

I think epiosde 3 will be split between the battle of Winterfell and the battle of King's Landing.

And no, I don't have any original ideas :)

Yup, it makes so much sense to me (The Night King going past Winterfell to attack the unprepared  King’s Landing and raise everyone there). He must be aware of all the preparation they’ve been doing at Winterfell so I could see him bolstering his forces in the South first. Especially since we haven’t seen him at or near Winterfell yet. The battle for Winterfell has been so massively choreographed I feel like there needs to be a twist.

The Battle for Winterfell will start, the living will be winning but after 10 or 15 minutes someone says “why isn’t the Night King coming?” And it cuts to him in Kings Landing killing and raising the Golden Company and the citizens inside KL.

Of course, I’m probably completely wrong and we’ll just have a huge, fuck off battle at Winterfell next week.

You’d think there has to be something other than the obvious defeat the Night King at Winterfell, survivors go to take on Cersei. My best guess would be they get utterly pwned but a few key characters escape on a dragon or two, and then they have a Living vs Dead rematch fighting with Cersei whilst everyone’s also trying to double cross each other.

Is that big red tree in Winterfell going to come into play somehow? It's always portrayed as some kind of holy special place, but so far it's had no significant role.

IIRC, the 3ER’s sight comes via the trees, that’s his connection to the past. I’m still convinced that Robobran wants the NK at the tree for a reason and it’s not as simple as ‘come at me bro lol’ bait

They were very important to the children of the forest, who looked after them before men arrived in westeros. The old religion of westeros reverred and respected the trees but the new religion of the seven had no time for it, but the North remembers.

I still like how the three religions were referred to in the last episode.

Hmm. The NK was created using dragon glass to defend the Children of the Forest from the First Men. I wonder if that will be significant at all.

Weaterosi from north of the Neck and the wildlings are all descended from the First Men, but people like Cersei are mostly descended from the Andals. Maybe old Valyria (Dany and also Jon now).

Be funny if he literally just runs like a program, and if/when he comes up against the Golden Company and twats at King’s Landing he’s like, “eerrr ERROR!”

He might also be looking for the Three Eyed Raven so he can go back to the point against the tree where he was created to see how he can undo it.

I also think the only way you can destroy him is to remove the dragon glass FROM him. Not attack him with it.

Bran alluded to the Night King repeatedly attacking three eyed ravens throughout history. So basically Bran will meet the NK and the NK will start speaking saying 'this has happened before, we must reset the simulation' and using loads of big words and all then the world will start again and be repopulated by the surviving cast members. Then final scene is Tyrion getting sucked off to a medieval arrangement of Don't Stop Believin' by Journey then cut to black

I think there's something to the theory that most of our character's are forced to live lives they never wanted will result in

Spoiler

Gendry on the Iron Throne, his pregnant Queen, Arya, by his side.

Jon: wanted to be a trueborn son, ended up making peace with his bastard status and forging a new life in the NW, now reluctantly forced into the position of being an heir to the throne.
Dany: wanted a settled, peaceful home, now argueably the biggest warmonger there is.

Sansa: wanted to be a princess and have babies with the Prince. Likely to be the hard-hearted Lady of Winterfell, all alone.

etc

I reckon Qyburn at King's Landing has something cooked up for the army of the dead. He's pretty clued up about that kind of stuff.

So no immediate Winterfell fight but then Cersei doing better at King's Landing than expected.

Dani to betray Jon Snow in Battle. Not doing the deed herself but leaving him for Dead along with a dragon who doesnt follow her when summoned but stays with Jon looking doomed, she retreats to the Iron Island with the final few surviving troops, dishing out a few dragon piggie backs to a handful or her besties like Tyrion, Hollyoaks girl and her grandad and then a few of the other survivors she doesn't really like (Sansa, Sam, Jaime) have to ride on the ships and meet up at the iron Island.

The Dead march on to kings landing, picking up the pace a bit obviously since we dont have 15 seasons for them to keep up the same MPH. Its then Cersies turn to take on the Night King with Dr Frankenstein. The Night King plows through the Golden Army or what ever they are called, mainly because they don't have Elephants, which makes them fucking useless.

Meanwhile Dani is rallying the troops at the iron island because she really really wants a pointy chair more than anything, and if the Night King takes King Landing and its population, it is essentially the end of days. She starts to go off the deep end because Sam doesn't buy her bullshit story about how Jon died, as he reveals Jons lineage to everyone else, she toasts him for treason, plus she loves barbecued Tarlys. It makes everyone a little uncomfortable but they dont have dragons, what are they going to do about it and plus only Jon really cared about Sam. Someone else pipes up, she toasts them too because she is mad Queen now and they want to hammer that point home.

Back to Kings Landing and just as the Night King is taking the throne room, everyone arrives from the iron islands to  try and save the day. But Cercie with Frankenmountain are face to face with the Night King already, Cersie is all smug thinking the Mountain can take on the Night King, but the Night King turns him before he even draws his sword, he turns around  kills her in brutal mountain fashion. Maybe not the way he did the Nun, more the Viper.

The Night King and his henchmen strut through the throne room and he takes his seat on the Iron Throne whilst the fighting rumbles on outside and our heroes (Plus Dani, who we dont like anymore.) are being overwellmed by the ever growing number of dead, but cut to the night king and bam! he is then stabbed through the heart by one of his own henchman, with a fancy Valyrian Steel Dagger! Its Arya wearing a deadmans face, she has been undercover since Winterfell! All the dead drop and the path is cleared for Dani.

She comes into the throne room and takes her seat on the Throne. All of a sudden another dragon rocks up, its Jon Snow! Here to claim the throne, she tries to instruct her dragon to toast him but it wont do it, they are loyal to Jon now. Plus she is a bit Mad. Jon Snow has her taken away because he is nice like that but she isnt done yet, she takes on last attempt to kill Jon but Bron from nowhere cuts her down with a crossbow, 'alright lads, what did a miss? lol". Jon takes his seat on the Throne, looking well mopey about it.

But because he doesnt really want to be king, he has the throne destroyed and forms a democracy, where the true game of thrones begins!

The end.

You know what, I could see most of this happening.
