this must be the place or something is their one song I like. But after years of hearing their songs on repeat in various restaurants I worked in I hope I never hear his yelping voice ever again. The 4th time the playlist looped back to Psycho Killer during the dinner rush I’d be on the verge of a psychotic break

Remain In Light & Fear Of Music are two of the greatest, possibly the greatest, pop albums ever released  - I mean you owe it to yourself to revisit and reappraise your opinion, you’re messing with my mojo man ;)

First thing I tried. Doesn't de-select or untrack it?

I think it default to having one main mission tracked, it will always go back to that after doing a sidequest. The Witcher 3 was the same way.

It's intended behaviour, not a bug that'll be fixed. A small thing to get hung up on.

 Well, shit. :(

If you shoot the side arms where the weapons fire come from those are the weak spots and blow off, if you blow both of them off it died.

I did the whole corp and maelstrom quest earlier in a way where:

  Reveal hidden contents

I had to fight two of them at the end of it instead of Royce, so I was prepared

Yep I realised after killing it because it bugged at the end, it stayed standing without firing (I was able to loot it) and I was able to shoot it a few more times to make it fall over. I could only shoot the one remaining turret though. After a couple of shots the turret arm exploded and it fell over.

sounds like a particularly cruel and unusual form of punishment

To emphasise that that stuff about side quests all being generic is such nonsense. The 'Heroes' side quest is really, really well done. I've played full games that attempt the same idea. Depending on the choices you make in the main quest you might not even get this one.

Giant Bomb talk pish these days sadly.

I've played for 8 hours now on PS5 and my impressions swing wildly from one hour to the next. The game explains itself poorly and the UI is a clutter of multi layered , unintuitive menus with tiny text, pretty much ticking all the boxes for maximum annoyance. It's insanely buggy though, probably the most busted game I've ever played. However the game world and atmosphere of Night City is really well done and now I've polished off a few of the main missions and the characters and systems have had time to breathe, i'm definitely finding myself more interested in what's happening and the gameplay opportunities that are provided.

Deus Ex is certainly more my cup of tea though, especially in music and presentation.Cyberpunk can be both awe inspiring but also mystifyingly juvenile at times.

I’ve got a refund from Microsoft for this. There are just too many broken things in the game at the minute for me to be arsed to carry on with it. Crashes back to the Xbox menu, the screen pauses for 30 seconds whilst driving(presumably loading the area in?), the police teleporting into a moving lift and killing me etc. Added together with the poor ui it just isn’t quite there yet is it?

How do you go about getting a refund?

There's an imminent patch (1.04) supposed to fix or improve crashing. Already out on PS4/PS5 and PC but Xbox coming shortly. That pausing happened for me during one session but it went away after restarting, I'm 20 hours into the game and it hasn't come back yet.

Also can't change your equipment for the entire sequence either - it's all locked out.

That might be a bug. I just fast travelled somewhere and I was suddenly blocked from changing any gear. No idea why. I saved and I'm about to reload.

It happened to me everything I tried to drive anywhere. It also happened once when I was running somewhere as well.

I have limited gaming time available to me at the minute and I can’t be arsed to use that on something that’s so unstable. I hope you all have fun but I’m out for now.

I have no idea what I’m doing in the combat in this. It will sink in eventually but I feel like I’m just shooting at peoples heads with high powered sniper rifles and they’re just lolling. And if I try to do anything cyberey it’s pointless.

and why is all this SHIT highlighted? Are white cubes just to be ignored?

The cubes are all items you can pick up. White is Common (often low cost junk but common weapons and armour on dead enemies are definitely worth picking up to sell later). Green, Blue and Purple are Uncommon, Rare and Epic, always worth grabbing those.

Just did the next story mission and am just getting into the Keanu Reeves stuff. The story missions so far are a blast and technically they hold up pretty well, they look great for the most part. Still little bugs breaking the immersion throughout but so far I've only had one crash since the latest patch, so that's something. Some site said PS4 reflections have been beefed up in the latest patch but I haven't noticed, and there was no mention of other performance improvements apart from stability and I've not noticed any general improvement technically. The nice thing though is the technical issues don't affect the story missions as much as the open world stuff so when you're in the main quest (and presumably side quests) its a much better experience.

Yeah I would like to get rid of the objective stuff too for when I'm bumbling around, I'll have a peek in the options and see if I can find that setting you mentioned.

Its a shooty RPG. I played the division games all year so I’m well into it. Try hacking their eyes to give yourself the opportunity to do some damage
