No, its a silly oversight, I'm sure eventually they'll make it zoom out when driving because even reviewers were mentioning it.

Anyone spec'd into Blades? They seem borderline OP to me. The enemies are very bullet spongey, so bum-rushing them and slashing 3-4 hit combos works wonders. Staggers them too, meaning you can charge up RT for the finisher and see that head come clean off.  :ph34r:

I got a sweet rare katana in a side mission so I've used it to finish of stragglers. Rushing into the last guy and decapitating him never gets old.

Blades are deadly and almost obligatory for some fights. I tried killing one, skull icon so deadly to me, boss that soaked up all gunfire. Regenerated health too and you have to keep moving so it was a complete waste of time. Get a blade out however and bang, couple of parrys, some slashes and lights out time, thanks for the epic mods I'm looting from your corpse.

I found running around with a sword slicing up the small groups was pretty viable, even with the worst healing item slotted.

 

That was before discovering the 'Street Brawler' perk tree, which just seems overpowered - guns get like a 2% increase to damage for their perks, melee weapons get stacking 30%, with stun and lifesteal on top!

About $1,500.

Wait until you see it in motion. The RTX effects are astonishing when they stack.

This might explain the wildly different impressions of the game visually. Quality mode on SX isn't just resolution, and Xbox series has much denser crowds for some reason (certainly I was wondering why people were saying it feels empty, not like that on sx) 

 

 

 

You'd imagine the next gen patch is ages away though.

Am i the only one that finds the max crowd density more of a hindrance than a must have "wow-wee, look at that" option? Or am i pissed off because i sprinted down a staircase, landed on 1 of 5 NPC's juggling for space, and the game considered it a violent act. And there were police officers standing right there, ready to punish me. :lol:

Controller for driving/strolling/dialogue.
KB+M for shooty/hacky bits.

I also have the new Xbox pad. Be sure to get the special tool which practically eliminates the USB and Bluetooth latency. You'll be golden, just like me.

it looks amazing, unless you’re in one of the areas that isn’t so great (there’s not much that can be done with an industrial estate). There’s definitely a reasonable amount of stealth and hacky options, and it’s generally a good idea to look around a lot. 
 

im not sure it’s genre redefining or “something that no one has ever seen before”. But then the main hype merchant in the thread hasn’t played it on PC, or outside of the prologue. Really glad I’m not trying to play it on console.

Got a refund from Microsoft.

 

I'm out until they remove the annoying yellow dot and also patch it for next gen.

 

Also, anyone else really dislike the female V voice-over? Sounds too video-gamey, like I've heard the actor in too many games or something. Just didn't like the performance at all. What's the male V performance like?

I’m genuinely baffled how this has reviewed as well as it has. Playing on a  half decent 3080 PC, but despite all the shinies it’s just a bit ugly. The aesthetic and crappy hud just isn’t my cup of tea. 
 

It’s also just a bit shit, both boring and derivative. It plays like a game that’s been in development for 8 years, old and stale. I feel sorry for the devs who were worked to the bone only to produce something this disappointing.
