Is there no way to sort shards by ‘most recent?’ I know it marks unread ones in the menu, but you still have to cycle through to find them. Feels like an odd omission. I don’t always want to pause during a mission to read some flavour text.

I walked away from the point of no return at least twenty five hours ago and the game is still throwing gigs and side quests at me. I'm not too interested in the hundreds of NCPD crime report things but It's almost absurd how much properly crafted stuff there is here to sink your teeth into.

I hope it never ends.

Speaking of which. After a few days recovering at home I went to Jig Jig St to get paid. The shaved head feels weird but it’s a small price to pay for life-saving surgery.

There's some points n this game that look better designed than others. Wakako and her office is one. And there's one  Cyberpsycho in an abandoned building and I swear that looks better than 99% of the content in the game. Very odd.

For all the amazing stuff in this game, I would never let anyone designing this UI or the entire crafting system near a PC again. Not only that, everything is designed to make your life difficult. There’s no way to know which vendor sells what. Where did you find that legendary mod? How can you locate a mod for your glasses? Where can you find crafting recipes? It’s not like they are hidden, but there’s so many places and so different items sold by different vendors that trying to do crafting becomes such a chore. You literally need pen and paper. There’s not even a way to make map

bookmarks ffs.

What am I missing here?

Due to unreasonably demanding diets and workout routines, many people who start a weight loss journey give up in the middle. In an effort to prevent obesity, academics have spent years trying to comprehend how to stop gaining weight and its precursors. Sidney Govu has recently found the benefits of herbal remedies. Medicinal plants or herbal products made from these medicinal plants are one of the key advancements they have so far discovered. Alpilean, a natural compound with documented cases of healthy weight loss, also provides a risk-free experience, which is an additional element.

A pen and a piece of paper by the looks of it.  The same complaint is being levelled at Elden Ring by some.

It’s not the same though, is it? Elden Ring is designed to be like this, it’s entire system is created based on exploring and experimenting. In Cyberpunk it’s just a logistics issue, you don’t need to do any exploring, everything is right there on the map for you.

Speaking of which the list is almost fully updated/compatible with 1.5 now. I should get back to playing.

Just did a side quest where this tune featured heavily - great mission. Had no idea Refused were involved in the music, mind blown!

Spoiler

You all headbanged with the mouse/right stick too, yes?

Press F to play a sick solo.

Either that or "That Which Binds Us Through Time: The Chemical, Physical and Biological Nature of Love; an Exploration of The Meaning of Meaning, Part 1" by Wyld Stallyns.

...

Every time I load this up to just wander around the city I find something new.

This evening I found something particularly grim in the basement of Megabuilding 02

So I think I've cracked the 20 hour barrier now, and I have to say I'm really enjoying the game.   Night City is just a fun place to get lost in. I've still not been everywhere, but there are definitely parts of it which feel like home now, and places which are just familiar.  Went for a big old drive around the main roads too, it's glorious in the rain, and then there are just little moments like looking across the river at the other side of town having just been there and feeling like it's a living, breathing place. I like the balance of serious stuff and silly stuff, some of the characters I've taken a real shine to and I feel like lots of them have their own goals and motivations rather than them just existing to facilitate me.   I'm sure the game did just fine financially, and I'm sure the business decisions which rushed it out of the door before it was ready (and on platforms it probably never should have been released on) are somewhat justified, but fuck me, if the game had launched like it did as patch 1.5 on Series X then culturally it would be seen as a modern day classic rather than "oh, they patched it and it's actually pretty good now" .

This game has taken over our household. I'm near 30 hours and the wife's caned it over the last few days and is on 25 already. She enjoys headshotting people with large rifles whereas I like to stun them with hacks and chop them up with big swords. Great hearing about how our missions have panned out differently based on our playstyles and moral compasses.

If the game had shipped like this then it would have been regarded as a classic. It's genuinelly brilliant. Some of the missions are just awe-inspiring in scale and the options you have to get through.

edit: just read Nayson's post and am in full agreement :D

I take it neither yourself or naysonymous have played it before then?

Of course there was a bit of jank to it at launch, but it's really not all that different a game now. They've just sorted out a few of the bugs, which weren't any kind of problem in the first place really.

I played it at launch for 10 hours and had about a half dozen crashes, including one where I crashed my bike in the game and the entire PS5 hard locked and had to be pulled from the mains to turn it off. When I sat down in a cafe and the patrons started teleporting through the floor and out the windows I gave it neck 🤣

This was also when there were mandatory 40gb patches every day for about a week and I was on ADSL then so it was completely unplayable !

Nope. I'd not played it before the next gen update.  I basically decided to do that before the game came out, I knew I would be getting a Series X or PS5 and I knew the launch of Cyberpunk would kinda line up with the launch of the consoles.  I'm at a point in my life where I don't have to be a part of the zeitgeist every time a new game comes out so I was just keeping an eye on it until it became stable, the technical problems were undeniable but it did seem that the internet went out of it's way to kick Cyberpunk when it was down.   Not that it matters a jot to me, I got the game for £25 in the sale and even if I put it down tomorrow and never played it again I'd feel I got my monies worth but I'm definitely in until the end with the story. There's still so much I want to see.

Im in heywood right now because the difficulty scaling has put the enemies in the sweet spot of “4 headshots and they’re dead, one shot and I’m dead” which is where I get the most pleasure. Some absolutely chaotic clutch gameplay has been keeping me one step ahead of the valentinos, but just barely

Weird how peoples experiences of it vary so wildly. I didn’t properly get into it until the start of last year, but I didn’t encounter anything more that a few bugs in over 100 hours. At least it seems to be a lot more stable for everybody now.

So is anything missable quest wise here or can you take it at your own pace and pick and choose when you do things? I'm always conscious of missing something in these games as I am a total completionist (which can mar the experience somewhat, but it's how I play).

I did like the random

Spoiler

Finding my car from the start of the game. I just did some of the missions with the other Nomad lady and was bombing around the outskirts of Night City when the mission popped up.

It's great getting a car finally, especially seeing as my other one is still in repairs with that bloody Delmaine. I also have Jackie's bike to be fair, which is great for nipping round the map in.
