yeah...you can just go fuck yourself cant ya! :P

He doesn't need to. Awkward ray traced ultra detailed sex scenes in Cyberpunk 2077 will be better than any sort of fucking. Yourself of otherwise.

My only hope is that Cyberpunk can match the complex Bioware Romance Algorithm which closely simulates how it works in real life. Say a nice thing on three separate occasions + gift = sex.

Yeah, think I’ll go with that RT Ultra lark too really...

The CPU demands are lower than I expected which shows how much the potato consoles held them back really. Still it should be amazing

Wonder what the target frame rate at those setting is?  30fps? 60fps?

1440p RT Ultra for me please!

Nvidia has stated that Geforce Now will run at 60fps with all the RTX options on at 1080p. Traditionally, Geforce Now is very comparable to a 2080 (although it runs on their Tesla stuff, I believe). So, I guess you make of that what you will. It doe suggest that those specs are targeting 60fps, but you never know, Nvidia might have upgraded their back end.

tbh, we know that the ps4 version is 30, so, the recommended specs, should deliver consoles settings, at 60, this is based on me having a 4790k/1070 machine! and it doing exactly that! although, my old 970 used to run console like for 60, and a 1060 is pretty much the same!

well, my old machine...my new machine is 9900k/2080ti...but anyway...

also...one week! ...and an hour...

Guys I said I think Cyberpunk will be rubbish. I'm saying these obviously contrary and inflammatory things in a thread about a much anticipated video game. Somebody please respond or I will escalate.

Ban request! Trolling! :P

Yeah and how many of the side quests in Witcher 3 had an impact on the main quest line later in the game - even in a small way. It’s why I’m excited for this as no one has managed the feeling of a branching storyline as well as CDPR even in the years since W3.
I also think the way the games are structured you often find yourself hours into a side quest without realising as it’s all so organically done that it appears to be a main thread.

They've said TW3 was just a warm-up, too.

Got some nice new cans coming in just for this, the Philips Fidelio X2HR. Somewhat of a jump over the €15 Skull Candy in-ears I've been using for four years now. I might not even sample them until the game is ready to launch from my library.

Hopefully we get an NPC density slider to compensate. That's all it needs, really.

You’re probably right. Cant see why anyone would preorder on PC (where you’re going to get a digital download anyway) till there are some decent reviews.

(I’m not sure whether I like the idea of a open world FPS/RPG hybrid - Deus Ex isn’t going to strike twice, and it could easily be slow or frustrating - so I’m mostly hoping for shiny graphics)

The last time I depended on a review was back when Mean Machines was a thing.

I'll hand my money over once I can preload it. It's a bit pointless pre-ordering a digital piece of software and I don't want to support that trend.

Dear lord no, don’t put Skyrim in the same sentence as this (or any other CDPR RPGs for that matter). It’s also not like GTA either.

All the 16 hour previews talk about a deep and complex RPG on almost every level.

Fair enough - any idea what it would be comparable to, or is it going to be totally unique?

The Witcher 3 With Guns seems to be a go-to comparison, but until reviews are actually out it's hard to know how true that'll be.

(Deus Ex gets bandied about a lot as well, but given everything we've seen suggesting quests still largely centre around conversation -> combat encounter setups, rather than DE's 'get to a goal by any means necessary' structure, I don't know that the comparison works beyond the cyberpunk trappings. Again, hard to judge solely by trailers and previews)

That's the thing, this combination has never been done before. A single player-like multi branching story in a sandbox environment in an open world is simply unprecedented. You can say it combines styles of games but there is nothing like it. Comparisons with the modern Deus Ex games are simply out of place because they are both very limited in comparison. If I would compare its design approach I would go with the original Deus Ex, in the sense that, for its time, Spector's game also brought a new way of storytelling in sandbox design. But direct comparisons with other games, no, I do not think they exist.

@Thor will be coming along momentarily to lay waste to your house and cattle.

I have endless arguments about the mundane wasteland that is Skyrim. Outside of slicing thin air combat and horrifically generic dungeons, even the writing and quest design is leagues behind Oblivion a game 6 years older. That's my two cents!

And Oblivion was leagues upon leagues behind Morrowind in terms of depth, player freedom, workd design and systems, and quest design! My two cents
