I can't stand Holloway, ugh.

Holloway and press conferences = hilarity ensues!

Was a pretty tedious game, as the vast majority of "big" games are. To be fair the money potentially on offer was huge.

I love his enthusiasm. He's also made the most of what he has as a player and then as a manager. He's managed in the lower leagues, played in the lower leagues and played in that era where he wasn't earning £1m a year so he had to do something after retiring. I respect that - I get the feeling that most managers don't need to work.

He's taken Palace and Blackpool up to the Premier League and he was the best manager Plymouth have had in my living memory. I'm biased.

Crazy if that's true. Balance of power moving away from the Prem a bit and some big players that you'd have expected to come over here going to France.

Makes you wonder where Ronaldo would go if he did leave Real.

PSG and Monaco now up there as potential European super powers.

Utterly crazy and quite sad really. It's obvious that a lot of footballers care most about the money but some of the so called best players in world football choose to go play for Monaco, a team that has just been promoted in the French league?! They will get paid tens of millions of pounds in plenty of other countries and would be able to prove how good they really are, but na, take the easy option and go play in Ligue 1.

I don't know where the idea that Ian Holloway is "hilarious" came from, apart from his accent is quite regulation BBC English. In most of his interview's, he comes across a complete tit.

Agreed, he's a massive bellend. Can't see the appeal at all.

No, but as a professional sportsman you would expect that they want to win things and retire with a trophy room in their mansion that they can barely close the door to. At the end of your career, if that room's empty, you would (hopefully) happily trade back that extra £20,000 a week to have memories of winning and medals to hold and reminisce over. What's more, you'll still have enough money to build or buy a house in Monaco and spend the rest of your life there if that's where you really want to be.

It doesn't seem like Falcao has had much say in the matter anyway, due to his third party ownership scheme. I assume now though that will come to an end if Monaco buy his rights up.

Still, there are worse places to spend your tax-free £250k a week than Monaco.

How does Rooney keep being allowed to play for England. He's a master at losing possession.

Perhaps it's his stellar performances at major championships for the national team?

It's just really really bad isn't it.

Ireland is practically a good championship side against our supposed Premiership stars.

Walcott must learn he can't run through 5 people at once, it's not school football.
