They were both awful, in a lot of ways the second one was worse because it was influenced by the fact that the ref knew he got the first one wrong. You cant 'even things up' with a shitty decision in each direction.

What do you mean? He's surely relying on the linesman to make that call for the offside. Not that I can really blame the linesman, it was a tight call in that instance, particularly when you have to make the call in real-time.

edit: reading your post again it seems you might be talking about an incident other than the Everton goal disallowed for offside?

He's on about Anichebe's not-spotted goal followed by Ben Arfa not being given an obvious play-on advantage while 3 on 1 straight after.

What a massive foot in the mouth moment by the commentator then.

Basically compared Everton getting a goal to the Hillsborough report an example of justice.

And then Newcastle go and get a goal up the other end..

Im glad someone else spotted this...and that's 2 occasions this week theres been justice in the city of liverpool. I was like :o

Mind if I ask why you've chosen to watch that match? Not having a pop, just seems curious!

Honestly, i was watching the Dortmund game(they always entertain when I've watched them in recent years, though not so much tonight) on Sky when the goal alert popped up for Isco's goal. I switched over to that game then so I also caught the second goal. To be fair though I've been switching between a few of the games including the Madrid vs City game.

Spoilt for choice, essentially. Love it.
