You get an hour more battery on the newer model, and it's slimmer, but the OLED screen on the older model is incredible and worth it for that alone. It seems the Vita Fat (or whatever its called) displays the colours more vibrant but the Slim is brighter. I prefer the Fat screen from what i've seen. I've downloaded it and am looking forward blasting it on Friday night. I'd never have bought it for any price, just would never have occurred to me to do so. Now if I like it... I might well buy it again for the first time since ISSPRO on the PS 1. Last time I bought a football game was in 2009! I haven't got on with any of the PS4 stuff yet other than BF4 (I think I may be broken) so I'm VERY glad I kept my PS3 as that has got some absolute stonkers on PS+ lately. Mortis Posted April 3, 2014 Share Posted April 3, 2014 So that's basically 3 games - Don't Starve, Dead Nation and Mercenary Kings..A 50% hit rate for a console with a handful of games - I'd say that's not too bad overall considering there's still 6 or 7 titles to go before you get to the 1st year of content. I actually prefer Don't Starve on PS4, I've got it on PC too but find kb/m too fiddly - I'd love a Vita version but they'd probably need to tweak the icons for the Vita's resolution. I must have sunk 20+ hours in so far and I've only really scratched the surface. I've only had a quick look at it but I found the icons too small to really see comfortably when playing on the PS4. It looks like a game that's designed to be played sat right in front of a monitor and they didn't really tweak it for the fact you'd be sitting several feet away from a TV. I might give it a go on Remote Play, I know you'd lose a bit of resolution but it might be easier to read when up close and personal on a Vita. I thought that Plus would automatically download them and install them overnight but I switched on the next day and nada, all still waiting to be downloaded (and PES takes just as long to install 7 Gig as it does to sodding download it). I would expect it to pick the download up at that point, not immediately after you say download to ps3. I haven't tried that functionality for a while myself.
