These should be available for a month yes? So as long as you activate a gifted sub more or less immediately at Xmas you should be ok?

Yep, enjoy :)

Can someone ask Mr and Mrs Sony to hold on a bit? I've not played last month's games yet. Ta.

I've completed Remember Me but not started Metal Gear Rising yet.

I assume this has been mentioned before somewhere, but, according to the PS blog, it will only be possible to 'buy' PS4 titles on PS+ through the PS4 itself, not through the web store.

Edit- I was wrong about this, you can download through the web store.

That would be a huge foot shooting exercise for Sony, wouldn't it? Presumably they have figures to show stimulation of Vita sales through PS+ subs, I know I bought mine in part because of it. They have to know that 'owning' three or four months' worth of PS4 titles queued and ready to play is going to be a huge carrot to dangle in front of gamers unsure about taking the plunge on the next gen.

Grid 2! Nice one.. Fancied that at the time but never got round to it. PS+ delivers once again.

Is guacamelee any good?

I don't think it was universally enjoyed, but I played through it on the Vita and really loved it. There are some unbelievably difficult platforming sections requiring impossible manual dexterity, which I somehow managed to do (after a few hundred attempts) but they're not required to finish the game.

I liked the first hour or two I played, but that bit where you had to wall jump (my sworn enemy at the best of times) up a big chasm while switching dimensions just killed it for me. No idea how long I spent trying to do that.

They're arcade games. They're not quite Out Run but they're a hell of a lot closer to it than iRacing or Project CARS.

I'd say they're considerably more arcadey than the original 2 TOCAs were.

But if you're the kind of driving game player that hasn't formed an opinion on Grid 2 near immediately you might consider it a bit serious I guess.

The debit card I had purchased plus with has expired. So I thought I would just buy another 12 months now with my newer card. My current subscription expires on the 26th so I thought fuggit, it stacks anyway. i'll just do it now. This was on tuesday. After I did it I checked my subscriptions and sure enough its now set to expire 26th November 2014.

However, I got an email today from Sony saying how my PS plus is going to expire soon yadda yadda yadda. I guess this is pretty normal if you buy a subscription early rather than renew?
