Xbox N64 Emulator Leaked

Yoshi's Story is glitchy, but works fine. It seems to be dull rubbish though.

*edit* I used 1964 plug-in.

What are your rom specific settings for it? I seem to have made things far worse by messing with them.

Just the defaults. But even then it is glitchy. When I get back on the Xbox I can copy down what they are if you like.

Have you gone past the menus? The 1964 .ini file says the game is unplayable.

Well that's fair enough. I hate to play the "opinion card" but that's what it all is. Anyone who just thinks "I'm right and that's that" when it comes to matters like this is teh sucks.

Well I'm afraid you are quite simply wrong.

A ROM does not have a physical state, it is electronic data, and although it relies on physical media to exist, it is not restricted to a single piece of hardware.

An old SNES cartride is physical media. Its lifetime is inherently finite - it will not last forever.

The potential, therefore, for a ROM (which is not restricted to a single piece of physical media) to last the tests of time is far higher than a cartridge.

The media the ROM is stored on is not an issue.

Just noticed there is a new version of the 1964 windows version. Its running conkers bad fur day with the face correctly, which is just black on my xbox. Hopefully this will mean later versions of surreal64 will run this well.

I wonder if they are writing specific patches for each game? It still wouldn't be 'true' emulation but if it gets the game to run then that's what matters.

ISS 98 - runs perfectly with occasional graphical glitch

F-Zero 64 - Works perfectly

Can roms vary?

My ISS 98 has weird stripes all over the players and runs noticibly slower than "real" version.

Also F-Zero (i have JPN) - craft had messed up textures/colors (not real bad, just wrong)

^^^ I'd agree with that, I believe (as many here do) that mario kart is as near perfect as it has been, but upon showing it to my friend (who noticed that on the character selection screen marios eyes arnt shown correctly) thinks it's a pile of shit.

Some people, huh...

Right, GoldenEye Controls. My idea was this:

Xbox left stick = N64 stick

Xbox right stick = C buttons

Then change 'left' and 'right' on the left stick to be the 'left c' and 'right c' buttons.

This gives you a Halo kind of setup for the sticks.

I also set the Xbox L trigger to be the N64 R button and the Xbox R trigger to be the N64 Z button.

Any better suggestions?

Has anyone got Excitebike64 to work? This is one game I really wanted to see running. Keeps crashing after the Nintendo sports screen on my Xbox. Oh and Aydn's Chronicles. I get messed up textures on everything. Thanks.

Conkers bad fur day runs through the intro, But once you get into the actual game you can't make out anything as there's multicoloured lines running the whole way down the screen, It's completly unplayable in this state.Has anyone else got this to run?

Conkers runs, there is two instances where you get garbage on the screen thats when conkers drunk and it shows an in the head view. Runs fine after that! thats through 1964

I'm running it through the project64 plugin. It won't seem to go past the credits screen at the start of the game with 1964, Perhaps i'm doing something wrong?Did you change any of the options?

It seems the rom was corrupt, As at this very minute it's running throught the intro with the 1964 plugin.

I also tried excite bike and castlevania 64 and neither work <_<

EDIT=Oh dear it's crashed again and now won't load.
