Nintendo Wii U

I'm still resigned to Nintendo announcing that the upcoming Zelda game won't be coming to the Wii U after all. They'll leave it to sometime in the new year once enough people have bought the console for the Winter Gift Event. I think.

Keep the faith! I remember thinking the same thing when Gamecube was in its final year and we still got Twilight Princess.

I doubt they will have worked on the title for long and not release it on the WiiU.

Think the disk run will may be limited though like it was on the Gamecube so I'm getting a preorder in as soon as I can.

Possible, but then the Wii was just an overclocked GameCube with more RAM. I strongly doubt that the NX will share any architecture with the Wii U or any previous Nintendo machine.

Let's face it we no nothing much about Nintendos next console at all! 2016 is going to be interesting for Nintendo fans!

I really hope Nintendo release the new Zelda on the WiiU. It will be the first Nintendo home console that won't have had a iteration of Zelda on it which will be sad if that happens. Still think we'll be playing Zelda in March time next year! ????

Didn't Nintendo say they won't be abandoning the Wii U and letting them down, so hopefully we still get it.

Going by how Nintendo have worked in the past then I don't think they'll be a problem.

If it doesn't get a WiiU release then sure I'll be disappointed however it will make a great release title for the next console. If the WiiU is having difficulty handling the vision of the next Zelda technically then guess it can only be a good thing.

However doubt Nintendo will want to loose out to the market for a Zelda game on the WiiU let's face it there are around 10M units out there in the wild and that is a lot of sales. The WiiU is still selling incredibly well in Japan too...

Who bought their Wii U on the good faith they would be getting a new Zelda? I mean, it's a good job Sony delivered the Last Guardian for the PS3 for all those who bought that machine in good faith that they would be getting that game. Otherwise that would really have hurt the PS4's sales...

We can hope Wii U's relative lack of success doesn't make Zelda Wii U terrible, mind. Wind Waker's scrapped dungeons come to mind.

Well. Actually still loved Wind Waker TBH. Even with bits cut from the game it was still far better than a lot of games out there. :)
