Yeah.  With a name like House of Cards you do expect it all to come tumbling down at the end.  Not just to 'end' without really resolving the story.

Because they were hoping it be successful enough they would do another season if she was popular enough to carry the franchise?

She was a great character until she moved into politics, it never felt like she would be popular with voters and I never believed it. Would of been better to have her scheming behind the scenes.

Haven’t watched the end of this one but surprised they didn’t ape the ending of the original series, which for my money was more consistently quality than the US version.

I watched the whole thing to the end, and wish I just hadn’t bothered. Utterly disappointing.

I'll go further and say that this was probably some of the worst TV I've ever seen. Incoherent and unpleasant, with an ending which was as predictable as it was empty. It didn't even wrap up it's own pitiful plot lines, not emotionally or within the narrative.

 

Absolutely atrocious, especially when you think back to the highs of those first three seasons.

I've just watched ep4 of the final season and I have no idea who or what any of the characters are talking about anymore, it all seems like it's got too twisty for its own good.
