A simple solution that i'm in no doubt will have been thought of by someone reading this and may even get implemented by the development team at Bizarre aswell;

Why not produce a free download of outragously fast cars, well not that fast - but better than the TVR.

Please point out any downsides to this I may not have thought of apart from the fact it takes away the point in completing the game offline. - Which very little numbers of people will be able to do anyway, especially at platinum levels.

I'd prefer if someone could come up with a script that detected action replay use, and immediately banned the gamer tag forever.

Ideally I'd like it to fuck their xbox up forever too, but I suppose that's a bit harsh.

Considering I spent almost 2hrs of my life trying to complete the platinum cone challenge in the coupe series this morning and still failed, I don't think that's too harsh ;)

How far has everyone else got?

Not in the sense of being slow - hell no. You know this already. It is however, a proper cunt to drive.

I'm not shit at driving - not even a bit shit - but it really is just an insane engine on wheels.

That said, cheaters suck.

Exactly. I was playing against someone called crow777 earlier. He had one and came last.

What pisses me off is dickheads who can't drive always using the Enzo. Every corner they crash. There's me in me Saleen, taking all the corners nicely and the bastards always seem to catch up. ;)

To be honest I thought they'd either do this, or just make it unlocked in future downloads.

Of course it is still VERY Shortsighted the way they've done things...

Well, it's not just her. I've been playing with quite a few people who have used an Action Replay, but are still great fun, mix up the cars a lot and are decent players.

They don't really care when someone calls them a cheat, just when they pre-judge them because of it.

Hmm, I can't hardly blame people for using a cheat to unlock the good cars. Although I don't cheat myself, I find the singleplayer 'Kudos world series' quite a chore. Sure, it's good fun, but I prefer the online multiplayer racing. And now I'm forced to 'sit through' the singleplayer game just to get to the good stuff.

I'm steadily working my way though the golds/platinums (currently have 40 of each). I'll probably finish it all in gold then do the odd platinum everyday.

Cheaters suck, especially when they lie on how they got the car ("My son did it!" Yeah, and I'm Elvis) :D

I didn't find it much of a challenge for the most part once I had the best car in each class (which was pretty much straight away).

Going through it on golds, very very slowly (damn GTA Double Pack :D) and it's a lot harder.

17 plats, everything else gold and I'm on the racing series, I think... dunno, gave up playing the single player game.

I haven't seen a speed 12 online, although I have seen a stack of the Mercs though -- isn't that a special car too? Personally, everyone just mashes the shit out of everyone else while racing, rather than race properly although I expect that to start to shine through after a while (kinda like Moto GP did). Still, I don't think the game is ideally suited to proper racing though, but that's just my opinion :D

You get the Mercedes when you complete the kudos world series on all golds, so you should have it too ;) I still think the Porsche is better. The Mercedes needs a seventh gear :D

Managed to get another few platinums today. I've completed the first two car classes and I was working my way through the sports utility challenges until GTA arrived in the post :angry:

I pretty much only play games that I'm hosting with restrictions on the class of cars to stop people cheating. It's amazing to see how much it throws people when they have to rely on their driving skills rather than a fuck off top speed to get around the track. I got bored of being caned by people driving the Enzo badly and it definitely evens things out if there's only one car to select.

Obviously I'd rather play with evenly matched people, so add me to your friends lists PLEASE!

i have the speed 12 yes i used i used action reply but so what if im in a game and people moan about me using it then i will change it doesnt bother me in any way so were is the problem in this i have compleated all the challenges on silver and carnt be arsed to go threw it on gold or platinum

That's just such a nightmare that the games designers actually want you to play their game, isnt it? :D

Well, yes. But it does come down to the "unlockables" debate. Should a game have everything open in mulitplayer from the start like, say, Halo? Or should it have a taster and have stuff unlockable via the one player game? With something like PGR, it's a tough one because giving you all the cars in multiplayer would give no incentive to play the offline game and perfect your handling and racing skills. Using the AR is not something I would ever contemplate doing, but I would like to use the better cars. But seeing as the game does give you two cars from each class, then at least you have something from the start.
