It's rubbish and the mix is bad.

The Youtube version is notably worse than the ones on dedicated music streaming services, but it can't save the song. Mind you, I don’t think I’ve particularly liked a Maiden lead-off single since Wickerman, so it’s not really an indicator for the album for me :)

I sat and listened to an album start to finish, while doing nothing else (other than necking a glass of fizz) for the first time in forever earlier.

Can heartily recommend At The Gates' new album "The Nightmare of Being".

It's a great passtime.

Everyone should check this out if they don't already know it. Unfathomably heavy, slow, psychedelic and brilliant:

Some Blackened Deathcore.

Incidentally, after initially criticising my own kids for watching reaction/box-opening videos on YouTube (waste of time… grumble… grumble), I’ve fallen down a bit of rabbit hole with them. Recently, with vocal coach ones around this type of vocal. I find it fascinating how a human can produce these sounds and have an even greater appreciation for just how difficult it is.

I'd only watch one if they were listening to Sunn0))) or some other brown-note outfit and shat in their keks.

When spotify jumps to something random and you groove to it for a while before a particularly monstrous solo on top of orchestra bit kicks in and you are all like 'what the fuck is this??' 'ah, Fleshgod Apocalypse, I should have guessed'
