Well that was fun. Though I did feel like a bit of a wallflower what with me having leg issues and all. Usually I'm in front or halfway in the pit. :(

Northlane were great, Volumes were disappointing with one of their fucking vocalists home again to work on their new album (this has happened twice now :/) and The Acacia Strain really impressed. Definitely going to check out their albums now!

Meytal Cohen who has been recording drum covers for a few years now has put together a metal band of her own, and it's not bad (although that first riff sounds even more ripped off from Meshuggah than most djent bands manage), and apparently the singer joined Skyharbor?

I also saw them when they visited Copenhagen. TAS were easily the highlight, gutted they didn't have time to play a longer set, which leads me on to Northlane. They barely played for 40 minutes. Fucking part timers. :P

I saw Editors in Amsterdam yesterday. Such a departure from my usual gigs haha. Crowd incredibly diverse, pyrotechnics, sold out venue (capacity of 6000 I believe), etc Good stuff!

Do think I might've damaged my ear though. Forgot to bring my plugs and now I my right ear hurts a bit. :(

Damnation was a good 'un this year, after a bit of a damp squib in 2014. Top 5:

5. At the Gates - Had basically never heard any of their back catalogue pre-gig, but they're pretty good, right? (sorry, Tacoma Narrows Bridge Disaster, it was very close but nobody wants a top six)

4. Wiegedood - If you drop below 180bpm then the venue will explode

3. The Ocean - Mute and I will fight to the death on whether you could hear the cellist

2. Maybeshewill - Despite sticking out like a sore thumb on the bill for daring to play in a major key on occasion, this is the fourth (?) time I've seen them and most likely the last, as they'll cease to be in about six months or so. Delicate on record but very, very noisy live

1. Amenra - easily the most intense live band I've ever seen. I can't gush enough about just how dismal their live show is.
