The Rllmuk Metal Thread Part 2

Transient Curse

Rob Flynn is an incredible front man and by the looks of that video a great human being too.

That new kill switch track is great also.

Massive fan of Adam D and Jessie. Personally I think their Time of Grace album was the best thing either of them have ever done.

The whole Anselmo stuff... How is anyone even slightly surprised? He's being doing this for years!

I remember him going on about white power before Pantera split up, he blamed it on being high as shit or something?! This was pre-YouTube but I swear it was all over magazines etc.

Anyway, yeah, he is a penis. But he has been a racist for as long as I can remember!

whatever you think of their last 15 years theyve been making consistently great thrash records and you've been missing out. Doubt anyone's going to say they have got better though :)

The O'Keefe Music Foundation, an organization that enables children to freely record their musical performances, has released a music video their kids' version of the Slipknot song "Duality." According to the Foundation, "this is not only a cover but also a reinterpretation of the original Slipknot video." You can have a look below.

This has made my day. :D

Think Megadeth have been bad for the last 15 years so here Dave Mustaine's daughter....

Man! Endgame is seriously great! It's like Rust in Piece part II - to offer up such a cliché - and their only seriously great record since Countdown to Extinction.

Both Contortionist and Tesseract were very fucking good last night in London.

We even got 'Flourish' from The Contortionist and Tesseract hauled up Martin Grech for 'Hexes'. Most of Tesseract's set was from 'Polaris' with 'Concealing Fate' (parts 1 & 2) and Nocturne mixed in, a few others too. Mike Lessard's vocals were a bit low in the mix I thought though, but seeing Dan Tompkins for Tesseract hit all the high notes was quite impressive.

Sounds like a good night out Bleeders. :D

I've seen Tesseract with both Ashe and Daniel... They're both so fucking good.

In other news:

It seems very safe but hey... it's more ATB!

I've had ATB's 'Collapse' on repeat this week, that last riff is quite saucy. Happy with more of the same.

Have you caught Toothgrinder's new album, V?

Bossk return with the first track from their upcoming album:

I quite like it - but in all honesty it's not grabbing me quite as much as the excellent Pick Up Artist did. Still, whole rest of the album to come yet.

They're touring in the UK soon with Cult of Luna - who seem to have forgotten saying they were going to take a break for the foreseeable future, and have instead been recording new material with Julie Christmas:

Exodus are playing in Liverpool soon. Anyone seen them recently? Out of all the retro thrash guys, I always liked exodus, their newest stuff isn't them just trading off on their name for the sake of a quick sale.

And bonded by blood is a stone cold classic.

Don't judge me but I'm going to see mushroomhead in Chester. It's for a friends birthday because he won't go on his own!

It worries me how much metal is starting to sound like Sonic stage music these days lol

I like the modern style from a musical standpoint but i'm just waiting for that band that put it all together with vocals and then gets big enough to headline a festival

This came on in the car, they won't be headlining any festivals but it's a rocking song. prolly been posted by someone at some point ?

Yeah never listened to FFTL before they got Spencer to do vocals. The final product wasn't bad but I couldn't help but feel I had already heard it all before. Fun record though.

Speaking of Metal sounding like videogames... Here's a Mario and Inspector Gadget track.
