A new Sunn O))) live album was released this week and it is, frankly, fucking awesome. They are borderline transcendental when it all comes together, as it very much seems to have done so for this show in Moscow.

 

A little bit excited to see them again in a few weeks...

I finally got around to buying Anthrax's For All Kings today.  It's wicked. Anyone else got it?  They're playing in Ireland with Slayer later this month, might see if I can still get tickets.  The last couple of albums have been pretty damned ace but I do still prefer John Bush as a vocalist to Joey Belladonna.  His voice is a bit too clean and "classic metal" for me.

Yeah old Papa Roach was great!

 

Their new however sound doesn't sound too far off from that Machine Head song. Pop rock... pop rock as far as the eye can see.

Ah, the controversial keyboards in metal choice. I quite like this too. Feels more summery than the ultra-death/djent?/mathcore whatever. Loved that Midnight track too, @shirubagan The two person tech death video is impressive but depressing to see guys in the front row nodding along whilst checking their phone. Back in my day that would never have happened. Partly because there weren't mobiles but still....
