This is amazing. Slave blues black metal electronic. Just listen.

This stuff is crazy! Every song is so different, it really isn't an album that can be filed under anything in particular. Some of the tunes are brilliant, some I didn't like so much, but definitely worth a listen. Thanks for posting this!

Edit: first album also good!!

So, new Periphery is 'out there'... I like it, I like it a lot.

Catch Fire's chorus is so gooood. I don't know if the depth and richness of previous albums is still there but damn it sure is another fantastic record isn't it? :D

By the way do you know if the recurring melody (in Lune and Absolomb for example) is from older material? Seems familiar somehow.

I used to be a huuuuge KoRn fan, but I haven't been keeping up with their past few releases as quality of their tunes just spiraled downwards. I'm a bit ashamed now that I haven't even checked out the first album they released since Head rejoined the group. Anyways, they're releasing a new album this fall and I'm tentatively allowing myself to get excited. Maybe it's just nostalgia speaking, though.

The yet-to-be-titled follow-up to 2013's "The Paradigm Shift" marks the second KORN album since the return of guitarist Brian "Head" Welch, who said, "This is a record to me that the intensity of KORN is back, and the live energy. Raw energy is there."

Possibly, I don't think the new album is as good as Alpha/Omega, but it's still a very good album. Loving that blast in 'Price is Wrong'.

I was bang into them back in the day, but after Follow the Leader I got a bit bored of them, although they've had a few decent songs since that album. 'Punishment Time' from the last album is okay and I didn't mind the Dubstep album they did either.

Isn't the new Periphery album supposed to be officially out today? It's listed on Deezer but I can still only download the two singles, not the entire thing. Grrr was looking forward to listening to this on the bus!! :(

Tell you what's grown on me recently, Once More Round the Sun, Mastadon's last album.  I wasn't overly impressed at launch.  I found it pretty bland and never really gave it much of a chance but it popped up randomly in the vehicle a couple of weeks ago and it's really good. I haven't listened to anything much else while I've been driving since then.

I like Mastodon, but I have to be in a certain mood to listen to them. I can go for months without listening to them, but then be in the mood for a 'Masodon binge' for a couple of months before stopping listening to them again until the next time. They're a great band, but I can't listen to them all the time.

Remember seeing them at Exit Festival in Serbia in 2009 with zero expectations and they put on one of the best live shows I've ever seen. They have been markedly less shit and even a bit good since around then.

I'm all about Agoraphobic Nosebleed this year though.

I think blood mountain is their best. Production is awful though.

It's a decent album but not a patch on Crack the Skye for me. The latter is pretty much an epic concept album in the way it sweeps along. Consistent tonally and thematically but each song has its own hook keeping it varied from track to track. Blood Mountain just doesn't really feel like it quite gets going to me.

Bear in mind, I got into Mastodon at The Hunter though.

New Opeth due in September!
