I feel blessed and terrible for you folks having delivery problems as mine was probably the best and easiest delivery I have ever had. Bob his name was.

Yeah, mine too. Ordered about 5pm on Friday, arrived about 9am Saturday. I don't think I've ever had anything delivered so quickly.

Was going to be a launch day adopter, but thinking about it objectively, I'll wait until my XL has endured some more wear and tear before upgrading, should hopefully last me until the New XL is available in a few more colour options.

OTOH I've advised Mrs Penguin to upgrade her launch-day 3DS as soon as possible, seeing as it's all worn out and barely hanging together. (She doesn't seem to like the Super Famicom coloured buttons on the New 3DS though! I don't understand women...)

If I was still clinging on to my launch model 3DS I would be upgrading in a heartbeat - truly one of the naffest pieces of hardware Nintendo have ever released. The 3DS XL is a far superior bit of kit though, so I'll be holding onto it for a bit longer too.

Yeah, was wondering about that. My launch 3DS really is starting to show its age. Esp. the analogue stick and 3D slider. Wondered whether Nintendo handhelds have always been of this quality. I know he original GB was nigh on indestructible. But I never played much on my GBA, and tbh the DS didn't seem very sturdy either.

The original DS is the sturdiest thing ever, afterwards it all became a bit iffy. Still durable, just not as much as what came before. When the market was no longer kids for handhelds (brain training) appearance mattered I guess? No one cared because 'omg backlight and look how small!'

A long while later, but DSi XL still turned out sturdy.

The 3D on this new one is fantastic, I never got the sweet spot before as I guess I move around when playing but I have been playing mk7 with 3d on and it's a different experience!

I like the form factor, maybe the XL was a bit too clunky for me but thus far I don't regret the smaller screens.

Snes button colours obv is the biggest improvement!!

Ouch. I'd probably just hang on to my Luigi 3DS XL at those prices.

Earlier today we reported that a source in GameStop upper management had confirmed trade-in deals for New Nintendo 3DS, and since then a release date has been added to the GameStop system. Although it should still be considered as tentative until officially confirmed by Nintendo, GameStop lists New Nintendo 3DS for release in North America on February 13. Pre-orders will start soon (possibly tomorrow, although that is not confirmed), and trading in your old 3DS or 3DS XL will net you $75 and $100 towards the new system, respectively.

Liiiittle bit on the expensive side, but my current 3DS XL has seen better days (combined droppings by small toddler and being knocked off surfaces by a tubby blundering cat) so I'll go for a new one at some point.

I do wish they did the XL in the white scheme with the coloured face buttons like the standard size, though.

I ordered one for Keyboard Koala as I wasn't too bothered about one. Ordered yesterday with free delivery option and it was here before lunch today. I've just posted it off to him but I must admit when I saw that shiny new box I was tempted to keep it, like some horrible surrogate mother.

Careful, you're starting to sound like a Yodel driver
