The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt

Maybe it's because I've just finished it, but that's a quick turnaround on the expansion - delighted!

10 hours for $10 is incredibly generous too, even the best AAA campaign expansions are usually 3 hours for that price.

Don't know the pricing structure for the console versions, but £20 for both (and the second one will be getting on for a 20 hour one), that's darn good stuff. Can't wait :D

Well even though I'm kind of keen to get to the finish now, what with MGSV staring me in the face waiting to be opened, as soon as I get in game, rather than progress the main quests (I'm half way through recruiting allies to defend Kaer Morhen should I successfully lure the Wild Hunt there), I've been instead increasingly fannying about in Valen doing odds and sods. I've now got a sudden urge to get the enhanced Cat gear for when I reach level 23 (I'm level 21, almost 22 at the mo) and at my last save point I was in some underground cavern, having just survived a 'trial of cheeses' (wtf!), wandering around seeking out the enhanced armour cat school gear diagram. By the time I'm nicely suited up in my enhanced cat school gear I suspect I'll be wanting to fanny about doing something else in game :)

MGSV for October then

For those curious, if you've already purchased the expansion pass and you want to use your code to get the boxed copy of Gwent it's £14.23 (£7.99 + £6.24 postage). You're better off buying the PC version from Game (£14.99) and reselling the Hearts of Stone key.

Came out at £12.80 for me but yeah probably makes more sense if you can be bothered.

Minor spoiler question about this big bastard you meet in Velen.

You know, the big bald Witcher from the previous game. Where is he? I accidentally found him early in my first play through but now at 20 I am about to leave for Skellige and have yet to bump into him.

He's in a barn in House Reardan

I knew he's in a barn. Thanks for the location :)

Hmm, he's not there. I have completed the chain with the woman who grew up there, I wonder if that interfered. Or, I think this makes more sense, my simulated The Witcher 2 "choices" messed things up. Poor Letho, I like him.

This is reduced on PC and PS4 this week and I'm thinking of picking it up (it'll sit on the pile for a month or two, but that's OK).

Is general consensus to go with the PC version (good PC, nVidia 970, SSD, 16GB, 1900x1200) or the PS4 version? Which platform does the game feel like it was designed for?

I'd go with the PC version just so you can use this

With a PC like that it seems like a pretty easy decision. Not only will it look better but it'll run better too. There are a few nice mods out there, but nothing essential yet. It will be a lot cheaper too (£16 here, possibly cheaper elsewhere).

Thanks. I've also noticed that it's in a bundle with Witcher 1 and 2 for just US$4 more on Steam this weekend.

It's down to £14 at cdkeys now if you haven't already picked it up.

Well I'm at the heady heights of level 26 now fully catted up with enhanced feline gear and swords. I've just sorted out the Isle of Mists and have a full team waiting in KM for the wild hunts arrival. Can't wait :)

A minor question - I can't find my total time played, well not accurately anyway. Pressing R2 in the character screen tells me laughably 1 day and 2 hours odd and I've played loads and loads more than that. Is this glitched (I know it supposedly overstated hours played at launch)? I'm on the PS4
