So started this yesterday and have played a fair bit. Ooh it's good innit? Seems like there's a hell of a lot to do/understand. Any tips for beginners?

I just completed the witcher 3, thoroughly enjoyed it from start to finish. Hadn't played the others so didn't know what to expect really but it is truly one of the best games I have ever played. I have got to get the soundtrack for this.

Soz Tris and yen. Ciri became a witcher and went travelling with Geralt, after a while they parted but continued to take on witcher contracts. Ciri became world renowned.

What are the different endings then?

Don't worry about trying to do everything. I tried to do everything and got overwhelmed. Game is much better when you just enjoy events spontaneously as you happen to come across them. Unless you're collecting.

I'm level 4 doing a quest where we are taking the red barons featus home. Momsters spawn and I kill wave one but die soon after. I seem to be running out of stamina or something as I can only block so long. There's 3 funky phantoms at once hitting me constantly and I just can't do it.

Do I need to go away and grind a bit? Am I playing it totally wrong?

You need to spend a little time reading the bestiary - it'll give you some tips about how to fight 'em - what oils to make for your sword, best signs to use etc. Once you have them, you should find things much easier going I think.

The Bloody Baron quest, if I remember correctly, is level 9. So you may want to do some more quests before. Don't worry, there's no grinding. Do some contracts and side quests and you will be fine.

Might just be unavailable because you haven't picked up all the ingredients. Herbalists usually have everything you need

Aye those enemies you're on about are Wraiths aren't you? I found them one of the enemies in the game which you do need to use magic / oils. Without them they're hard going.

You don't have to but on occasion if you wanna keep stocked, but if you see new ones you don't recognize then obviously go for them.

You should be a bit higher level for that part. I got stuck at it on death March then lost my save after a digital purchase.

Playing again from start but a lower difficulty. I'm stuck on the werewolf around level 5 I think, he keeps replenishing health when around 30% and caining me. A quick Google suggest to spam kill him, I'm thinking there must be a better way though, I tried that it didn't work.

Some potion or spell must stop his replenishing I reckon.

I bought this again on the steam sale for 24 quid. I upgraded my graphic card to a gtx960 last week. I cried tears of joy when i saw this running.

So I've been playing this on and off for a while. I'm really really liking it but still feel a bit lost. Just met the Emperor and was given my mission for what I feel is probably going to take up a lot of the game. I've found that with the second area I've visited I'm being killed a fair bit by high level enemies. Should I just go on with the story for a bit (despite being lv4 and it being a lv5 mission) or keep exploring?

You've only just finished the prologue - do the story stuff. Level requirements are a guide but you can do quests up to 4 levels ahead of you without worrying too much.
