Apparently, we'll be getting the character DLC for free.

This month, Game Informer is dedicating an article to Xenoblade Chronicles X in its latest issue.

We also learn that all the character DLC that was released in Japan would be included for free in the North American (and therefore European) version of Xenoblade Chronicles X. Therefore, there will be a total of 16 recruitable characters in the game. ... Unfortunately, we dont know if the additional quests will also be included for free or not.

Character DLC:

Starting May 8th, Monolith Software and Nintendo will start distributing DLC quests. For starters, theres 4 additional characters, sold 500 Yen each. They include:

3 quests each

the character itself, who knows its own special Arts and comes with blueprints for a special Doll / Skell. Its unlocked when you complete its quests. You also get the Fashion Equipment option (that allows you to change the appearance of your character at anytime, without removing the stats of the equipment youre wearing) automatically by completing the three quests of any of those four DLC characters.

The characters are:

HB: knows the special Arts Atomic Bash and Frame Hand, allows you to get the blueprints for the Doll/Skell called POLICEMEN.

Yelve: knows the special Arts Spirit Change and Powered Gunner, comes with a new category of weapon called Multigun, that allows you to switch from cannon, missile, and rifle forms for his weapon).

Axana: knows the special Arts Over Spec and Voltage Max, allows you to get the blueprints for the Doll/Skell called EXCAVATOR.

Boze: knows the special Arts Vortex and Bayonet Art, allows you to get the blueprints for the Doll/Skell the Doll/Skell YUMBO.

Naturally, there will be a strategy guide too:

Also, heres some details about the Xenoblade Chronicles X Prima Guide, which will be available in Standard and Collectors Editions:

Limited Edition is £59.99 and Game and Nintendo store exclusive.

I'll probably get it from the Nintendo store to avoid any Mario Maker style fuck ups and because while it'll be the same price they'll probably throw in a t shirt is never wear as well.
