Really poor summer sale, the last 2 bunches (big in japan, and the one that has a week left) were miles better. People are still expected to pay almost full price for GTA V? Its almost 2 years old, I only paid 39 quid when it came out. No wonder they're not rushing with a new game.

Anyone played Rory Mcllroy Golf? Surely must be worth a go for £6.50!

It's aggressively shit looking and thoroughly joyless. I played it via the ten hour unlock on EA Access and didn't manage more the five hours with it. And I love golf games.

Pre ordered 2 games on PSN and they both required immediate payment. Is this some sort of new shitty policy from Sony? Only ever paid when downloading started before.

Yeah I had to pay up for Hyper Light Drifter last week.

You can still cancel a pre-order at any time before the download starts and get a refund. I don't think it's to really prevent cancellations - I think Sony caught on to the fact that people were preordering with no intention of buying just to get early incentives and access (like I did to the Division beta and immediately cancelled the pre-order), so this is an extra barrier to that. Apparently, at least some titles that don't offer pre-order incentives/bonuses still take payment a day or so before the download starts.

Mind, the refund you get for a cancellation just goes to your wallet, so they've still kinda got your money. Which is the 'barrier' thing to putting people off pre-ordering with no intention to pay, I suppose.

The summer PSN sale is up; the deluxe edition of Dragon Age was around £5 (91% off).  Not sure if it's a mistake, as the standard edition is more expensive in the sale.

Thanks for the heads up on this. I already own it on Xbox but never got very far, a great price for the DLC alone.

The deluxe edition doesn't have the DLC, that's the game of the year edition which is £12.99.

The deluxe version just has a few fairly pointless extras such as different thrones for the inquisitor.

That said its still a bargain for the game

Oh crap. Nevermind eh!

Question though,

I played and loved dragon age origins on PS3 on the same PSN account. Is the game clever enough to know my progress in Origins?

I faffed about with the Keep before when I played on Xbox and by the time I had replicated my previous history I had sort of lost the will a bit!

It won't pull data from your PS3 save, but you would be able to use the same Keep data you used on Xbox as that's linked to your Origin account.

I hope so. I really wanna play it. Quite a short period of exclusivity if so.

Yeah I really want to play it too. It could still be a couple of months away mind you. Hopefully an announcement soon will give us the release date.

Thanks Aimless.

If only it were so straightforward.  I spent an hour or so faffing around with this yesterday.

I seemingly have at least 5 Origins accounts.

1 from when I played DA:O.

1 from my XBox, it automatically tied it to the email from my XBox Live account (I think).

1 from now logging in on the PS4.

And potentially 1 from when I was messing about so much before.  I even found one linked to my old PSN account on the US PSN store, seemingly from when I swapped stores to download something.

I may just give up trying to consolidate it all :(

I wonder if the PS4 version of Inside is due to appear soon. Apparently the trophies have popped, so that's usually a sign it's not far away: https://t.co/XDNqavDbVR

I had just assumed the usual 6 month or 1 year window, but extra bonus if its PS4 bound. Although it'll probably get an xbone sale by that point, i'm expecting it to get 20% off or something now it's scooped up all the early buyers.

Just logged into the PS4 & it was signed out of PSN?

It then wanted me to go through various privacy settings before letting me log into PSN.

Has there been an overnight update or should I be concerned?

You can sort them all through Origin, I had two accounts for the same reason but you'll have to pick the one Origin account. I don't remember if online access codes are tied to PSN or Origin but I think it's the former. Ask EA help, it should be doable.

Thanks. I couldn't find a button to actually ask for help. I suppose once I link them to one account then the individual consoles will automatically recognise them.

It's the original PSN one that's the problem - the email of which I don't know...would be easier to get them all talking to each other if I can just figure out how to contact EA.

I had similar issues with Square Enix - trying to do FFXIV demo. My old account in inaccessible (due to using software token and iPhone changed), and I registered two new ones neither of which the PS4 wants to let me in on!

I played Ratchet and Clank instead.

Do you know the original Origin account details? Like can you log in with username ID and password? Then in the connected accounts you can change the PSN and Live accounts associated with it.

That's the problem, it was so long ago and I don't recall even actually registering so I assume it has pulled details from PSN?

So it must be the email address I registered originally on PSN right?

Right but your origin accounts also have user ids if I'm not incorrect.

If no one else answers I can check after work today.

Right, I've figured out what's where (after resetting passwords to not just the origin account, but also the email it was associated with!)

I have found the account that my current PSN ID is connected to, and I have the login details to access it.  I've tried to go through the EA help pages to email them to ask them to remove that ID from that account, but I ended up at a page wanting me to call America.

I think what I would like to do is attach my current PSN ID to the same account that my Xbox One is using - makes the most sense.

I had the same . I think they have changed a few privacy settings. You can let people search for you by real name and stuff
