Had a good play on Killzone and whilst I understood how to show objectives it ll clicked. I still cannot go in quietly and seem to barrel in all guns blazing. I think it may take some time to learn how to take out the

I'm doing a OMG THE SHINIES play on easy and then will replay it properly after. I'm a bit crap at the moment

Rachel is currently makingdelivery number 125, you aredelivery number 143.

Rachel is approximately 1 hour away from you.

Come on Rachel, you can do it... push on a little further.

Annoyingly she is literally at the end of my road, but is going the long way around.

Spent all afternoon playing Battlefield 4 (and 40 mins playing Killzone which is a bit shit unfortunately). BF4 is so smooth and looks so good in comparison to the 360. I'm struggling to adjust to the right stick position on the DS4 though, 10 years as an xbox gamer are making the transition harder than I would like. It's been a fun and exciting day for us all and I hope you all have a great weekend. Sorry to anyone who has had issues with their deliveries or suppliers that really sucks.

Anyway, enjoy the PS4 everybody :)

So finally got to play some BF4, for an hour or so.

Still a great game with a shitload of bugs but I have this wired judder sometimes in the graphics, like a "drunken" filter for a second or two. Very annoying. I really hope it is the game and not the console or tv, hopefully I won't have the same issue when I boot up Need for Speed a bit later tonight.

IT WAS HIM AND HE ACTUALLY CAME OVER AND DELIVERED IT AND HE IS REALLY NICE BUT I CUT IT SHORT AND NOW HAVE PS4.

...Who's up for Battlefield later?! I've just got in, did I see we are having issues logging on to PSN?

Great news! Yes I sent you a friends request, if PSN is available lets play.

Nah the text in Killzone is ridiculously small and the objective markers are about the size of a skitlle which doesn't help.

So my eyes aren't just completely fucked then

I'm enjoying Killzone so far, it's nothing special so far but it's a decent shooter and as Morrius said it doesn't hold your hand at all. Always check your objective text by pressing up on the dpad and actually read the instructions as it tells you what you should be doing. The red markers do need to be more standout though, I can barely fucking see them! One thing I did chuckle at is that the controller lightbar flashes red when you are dying and then goes red just after you've died. Silly thing but made me laugh.

As for the machine I really really like it. It's a very slick bit of kit. One thing that made me chuckle was that I connected the internet cable, plugged in the powercord and turned it on. I had to go to the bathroom but when I came back it had already downloaded the firmware update. Downloads seem a bit faster on PSN too. Not tried party chat yet but hopefully give that a go later :)

So far so good.

Not tried part

Nope I started to get that after a couple of hours too. I think it is some sort of bug, it is similar to the suppression effect except it keeps randomly occuring and does not go away. I read somewhere that it is called 'ambient occlusion' and could have something to do with Commanders EMP'ing. Anyway it's really annoying when it happens every 30 seconds.

Aye PSN was only dodgy for me when I turned the console off, and on, and then it took 20 mins to get back onto PSN and then EA servers.

EA servers have been the worst for me - up and down like a nodding dog all afternoon. Had my first hour on Battlefield though... it really is special. Looks incredible, feels fantastic. Really looking forward to a bit of rllmuk Battlefield action on Sunday evening if anyone's about!

Mine is here - having a go on what I consider my 'throwaway' game (Battlefield) whilst PSN is down.

Oh, and my PS4 keeps losing wireless connection every couple of minutes. Not much of an issue as I've got a handy Ethernet cable nearby, but seems it is a reasonably common issue for which there isn't currently a fix.

PSN has been working fine for me all afternoon...

I've just managed to add a few more people before it died. I was just about to buy Black Flag but it failed, kind of glad though because I don't really like Assassin's Creed games, but I have money in my account and it's next gen day!

I suppose with everybody hammering the logins (gnnnng, type your password again) the poor thing just pulled the doors in and wept.

Contrast has some really beautiful moments.

End of Act 1 not really a spoiler

Where 2 people are having a conversation and casting shadows on the wall and you have to time using them as platforms as they move to make it to where you need to be

Beautifully realised.

My friend who got an Xbone last week has just sold it to CEX for a tidy £30 profit (awful dashboard and sloooow instals sealed the deal) and ordered a PS4. #teamsony !

As in just ordered it now? Is there anywhere particularly good to order from at this point? I put in a couple of tentative orders at 24 Studio and Gamestop and but not expecting them to progress any time soon. Planning to keep an eye out for new stock at a few bricks & mortar places.

(24 Studio haven't even managed to set up my bloody account yet despite me registering this morning.)
