PSN is working. Initially I was really pissed off when I couldn't log in, but now it's working everything is great. SSD installation was piss easy, downloads were super fast (I think the PS3 used about 10% of my 120mb connection) and the friends/store etc are great. Playroom & Resogun are good, got to try Killzone, AC4, Flower & Contrast after dinner. Machine is beautiful and silent. Camera/mic are much better then expected. Not a fan of voice control but it works well.

Mainly though... DAT FUCKING PAD :wub:

I pressed option over the game title but there's no option to update the thing and it says I have version 1.00. It's meant to be 1.03 now for 1080p.

No, checking the options only tells you updates it has already had, running the game should pick up the newest update. I'm not entirely sure how the automatic updating works, but even PS3 tried to update if there was one available when you ran a game.

Hit a snag right away, went to install the 1.51 update from an SD card plugged into a USB dongle, but due to the design on the PS4 and the size of the dongle it wouldn't go all the way in (snigger).

Luckily its updated pretty quickly anywho.

Yeah, I had the dongle too big problem as well, by the time I stopped sweating it had already downloaded it :)

After 6 attempts I've managed to log into PSN!!!

WHY did I choose the most un-memoriseable and longest password in the world!?

Edit: Only 408 gig of space before installing anything!!

Jesus lucky you! I'm on about 20 and still nothing.

Watching this please wait screen for ages, should I cancel it and try again or just leave it going? It's already threatened to go switch off and go into energy saving mode as it's taking so long.

Each time I tried I gave it 1 minute, if it was still at the 'please wait' stage I backed out and tried again. Keep trying mucka !

News just in :

We are aware that users are experiencing some disruption to the PSN service. To minimise the inconvenience we have suspended the “redeem voucher” functionality whilst we investigate further. Unfortunately this means that money cards, product vouchers, PlayStation Plus vouchers, PS3-PS4 upgrade vouchers and any other vouchers for digital content are not redeemable at this stage. Other PSN features such as log-in, online multi-player gaming, PlayStation Plus trial, PS Store (excluding voucher redemption), trophies, messages, friends etc. are all available.

We apologies and will provide an update to this announcement soon.
