I have now just from playing a game on the PS4 via the Vita, to now watching some streams of others playing games via my Vita.

This game broadcast stuff will be huge for checking out games you are on the fence about buying.

Yep, that's me done. Broke my BF multiplayer cherry and hard. 64 player carnage on several epically large conquest maps (to me, anyway). Flying shit, piloting shit, driving shit, shooting shit. Haven't a clue what half of the screen text real estate is going about, but I'm sure I'll get the hang of it in time. Didn't do too bad considering. Had a k/d ratio of about 1/4 by the end, and hopped up a handful of ranks. Pretty full-on experience.

Did get kicked out of the matches twice so sent the error reports back to Sony/EA like a good boy. Still a little buggy then. But amazing to take part in. Back in the saddle tomorrow.

Phew. Night all. Been a pleasure. What a machine. Next-gen is here and I rather like it.

ive cross-posted with the threads for the games, suffice to say I've played everything I own, except Resogun, Contrast (both due to no network access), and Just Dance 2014, because it's a bit late for that. Definitely "next-gen", for the most part. "best shinies"? either BG4 or KZ:SF. I need another car game to compare NFS.

Rushy, hurry up with #driveclub, 'sake!

I'm determined to be on it for 12 hours straight.

It's louder than I thought though. Like an average PC noise. Maybe just because I'm nailing it. Must have downloaded about 150Gb on it tonight.

Spent the last hour watching a mate and his gf broadcasting in Playroom.

Played some BF4 and it's great being able to play with friends on my PSN list a version that is nearly like the PC one :) The only problem is getting used to controller again for FPS. Got caught being meleed from the front but was thinking 'Tap the F key!' and then got stabbed :lol:

Oh and fuck you Guerilla Games for making me jump nearly a mile high by playing things through the DualShock speaker. Nearly spilt my coffee.

Very impressed with the machine over all so far.

Really impressed with ACIV and BFIV single player (!!!??!!), BF way better than three which I didn't even make it beyond the opening train section. Its all very scripted but looks great and is very set piece orientated like a first person uncharted.

Surprised at the lack of hand holding in ACIV, I am dying a LOT. Also next ten foliage hiding FTW!

Night has been soured by the PSN problems, but last few hours have been pretty great. Just want to get on PSN so I can do online and get resogun.

Just goes really bitty and then loses connection.

How far are you away from the PS4 ? If you are mostly quite close to it turn on the option in the settings for the Vita connecting directly to the PS4. I believe this is through their own separate wifi specifically for this purpose. Tried it tonight with BF4 and it was rock solid.

Wow, this really has surpassed all my expectations so far. It just feels so nice to use, instantly switching between menus and stuff.

Resogun is fucking delightful as well, even though I'm still figuring the bloody thing out!

So gutted I'm away for the day and night tomorrow. Monday off work though is going to be lovely :)

About a week ago I ordered one of those premium packs from Sainsbury's that suddenly appeared. The order went through only for me to receive a phone call 10 minutes later saying the order could't be honoured but they'd get back to me ASAP.

Today I got a message on the phone that 'PS4's are back in stock for immediate dispatch and with loads of games! The bundles are six-hundred and...'

I just hung up. Bloody chancers.

Changed the settings , works up to about 30 feet, but breaks up if I try to go any further.

Is this a router problem?

That's it for me tonight. An excellent first evening, with Killzone and AC4 both looking lovely, though I have to say Resogun is my pick of the bunch. It reminds me a little bit of Space Giraffe, though not quite so deliberately obscure in its mechanics.

As others have said, I've been really surprised by the lack of hand-holding in all the games I've played so far. Killzone is absolutely hard as nails right from the off, and I found myself dying very often indeed in the first level proper. Perhaps I just need to get used to it, but it was a real shock how tough it was.

AC4's Uplay nonsense and download codes are being a right pain in the arse; whenever I enter a code it just boots me back to the dash. There's definitely a few rough edges like that in the interface as a whole too, nothing too off-putting, but enough that it doesn't feel quite there yet to me. Very pleased overall, though, and seeing the PS logo come up when I first switched it on did feel a little bit like coming home, after being 360-only last gen.

God, this console is just the best fucking thing ever.

The box itself looks aces. It's quiet enough. I love the light strip.

The ds4 is THE BEST controller I've ever held. Ever. They fucking nailed it - new benchmark. Move on.

Everything OS side so far has been utterly seamless. Remote play worked a treat too.

Killzone is shiny on steroids. I really like the shooting, it's a challenge even on normal, especially if you don't shut down the alarms!

Just waiting for BF4 update (psn/my bb a little slow) and then I'll be up for some total noob shenanigans.

And Resogun is going to be my game of the year. If crack cocaine and lotto scratchcards had a little baby, it would be less addictive than this.

Nothing quite matches the pain of saving the first nine humans and watching the last one shatter into five bloody voxels as you blow up.

Best smile-inducing launch I've had since the Dreamcast. Despite not playing it nearly as much as I did that thing at launch, everything about this thing today has made me laugh, smile and generally giddy. Wii U and last weeks bone didn't do this.

My inner 10 year old is happy.

I had been checking that out. Missed that though though as I'm five mins away from the heli crash in Glasgow. Think i'll stick him back on. This whole upload thing is open to misuse surely. I don't care but surely kids have no need to see weed and racism. Idk. Wife is honking tho!!

Still can't log in :( Worst launch ever.

Machine and UI seems great though.

Very strange that. I got on ok all day yesterday, including the temperamental Battlefield 4. NFS didn't let me play online the first time I tried it but was fine last night.
