The most watched channel on the live bit at the moment is some American dude and his white trash wife having a cuss-off with a racist commenter calling him a nigger. He's holding up a bag of what looks like about eight ounces of skunk and chanting "I love Scotland". Someone just asked him why his girlfriend looks like Steven Seagal. Now she's rolling a blunt for him :lol:

Can't believe I missed that. Best launch game :lol:

I see people online who I assume have gone through the night - impressive.

Launch not going as well in Brazil, can't say i'm surprised really.....

"Brazilian news outlet G1 is reporting that during the first 12 hours of the PS4's launch in Brazil no units have been sold. Reportedly, boxes have been left to collect dust at retailers across the country.

It's not necessarily that the console is unattractive, but rather that its price point is. Unlike the $399 Americans paid, or the £349.00 British price, Brazil has a PS4 price that equates to $1850 U.S. Dollars, making it the most expensive launch console in history."

I love my PS4 sure, but that's a little steep !

Just went down to check on my little fella as he was downloading all the free games overnight. Good first night, no tears and he'd slept well after finishing his downloads. He is now back on speaking terms with PSN and everything loaded up very quickly including Music Unlimited which wasn't on at all last night.

Only thing that isn't working is the What's New bit, it doesn't populate at all even with a good number of you lot online. Have I set up the privacy thing wrong or is it just not working yet?

Yeah no surprise. Apparently they get hit by a massive import tax because none of it is manufactured in Brazil.

MS get around it because they must do some of that process in Brazil.

They said they're "working on a resolution" so I assume that means doing whatever MS are doing.

Ps3 to ps4 upgrades... Does every new copy ps3 bf4 have a code in to digital upgrade? I thought you had to pay £10 to upgrade to a digital ps4 copy but the guide doesn't mention a charge... Bf4 is£30 so considering that route

And is it a time limited offer? I can see there are 5 games doing it but no fee seems a bit odd /generous

Just noticed the mention of "discount" is fee about a tenner then? Other questions still stand don't wanna buy one and not have a code

I hope batters and nfs turn up today.

I bit the bullet and downloaded fifa last night. Extravagant expenditure but I like having it permanently launch-able.

Sadly bring a dad I went to bed at around 0100 as I was falling asleep playing AC4. Need to be more hardcore really.

Redeem codes fly though if you can use a PS3 or Vita, seems they're just locked from PS4 for the time being.

Is that a change from last night? I was trying on ps3 and it wasn't working either. At least it gave an error message on ps3 though, ps4 just flashed back to screen you were previously on.

Only way I could redeem codes was via playstation network website.

Lying in bed now after about 3 hours sleep and want to go back down and get stuck in again :)

Yes they all have upgrade codes as far as I know, the cost is as you say aprox 10 EUR.

The offer is limited to 28 of March.

And you still need to keep your copy of the PS3 version as it requires the disc to start, so it isn't the "real" digital version.

The copy I ordered from Game on Thursday night arrived yesterday. Code was inside the box. Once it's redeemed on PSN you pay £9.99 to upgrade to the PS4 version. When it's downloaded you have to use the PS3 disc to access the game. I got BF4 for £25 from Game so only cost me £35 in total.

Not every game, no.

Best way to do it is

Google a address in Alaska and adopt it as your own.

Go to amazon.com and buy a digital code for the game you want on ps3, change your billing address to your Alaska one

Buy $10 psn card on amazon

Go to playstation network website and redeem game code.

Redeem $10 code

Create a us psn account using the same Alaska address.

Turn on your ps4 go to the store and choose the game from ps3/ps4 section and it will show the price of $10.

I popped into Tesco Extra this morning and was able to pick up a PS4 off the shelf without a pre-order. :)

Tesco Extra in Sheffield if anyone's interested. They had a delivery last night. No idea how many, and It was only the Knack version, no Killzone packs, but you can't have everything, eh?

I think it will last a while with the inevitable games drought unless you buy every launch window game. Think if will need an upgrade eventually though but with one button upload of all saves to cloud this should be a doddle.

Also not all games are 40 gb. FIFa for example is only 12gb.
