PlayStation 4 Console Thread

Given that the DS4 already works with a lot of PS3 games, maybe it'd be better to just release an OS-level shim that makes it work with all of them?

But where is the money in that ;)

Would the issue be with the Share button on the DS4 being needed as Select on DS3? Or does it work as select without issue?

With news of the £399 Bundle for Xbox One with TitanFall what is likely to be Sony's response if any?

Infamous Second Son Bundle for £379?

I hope they don't drop the price, although my £419 Killzone Bundle less the Camera & Killzone Game which I have now sold is sitting at £327 with 2 controllers.

They don't need to go tit for tat as you can't reliably find the PS4 for RRP. No point in trying to stimulate sales of something that's already selling out.

Good point, I read somewhere they expect stock to be easily available from April.

Just waiting now for the games to arrive, disappointing reviews on Thief. Hoping Infamous Second Son reviews well.

Yea, was hoping Thief was gonna be decent :/ I guess MGS: Ground Zero's, even at £30, will do. I still haven't finished AC4 either. I'm sure Titanfall will take up some time this month too (Shouldn't mention that in here).

I enjoyed AC4 (even though I could have gotten in a 360 or PS3 for cheaper) MGS worries me about the short gameplay only a few hours, I'm going to wait on that. I was hoping Drive Club would be showing it's face by now but it has all gone quiet on that along with Watch_Dogs no news.

Nah dont worry about it, most of us still have 360s ;) or PCs

Although it quite amusing that there has been no sign on any 360 footage at all anywhere ...

Yea, was gonna say, anyone who's putting any faith into the 360 version being good is being a bit optimistic right now, considering we've not been shown anything.

I think the stuff about MGS length is being 'only 2 hours long' is a teeny bit disingenouous...Game Informer (where the quote come from) said they only had 4hours with the game, so really rushed through the main story (of which there is many multiple routes). They also said they loved it and couldn't wait to purchase, to put a bit of context around it. There's also extra side missions outside of the main one, alongside other collectible crapola. It seems like a decent chunk of content...and remember, it's cheaper for the digital game and you can always flog your physical copy!

US Prices: Last-gen version is $20 digital and $30 physical; current-gen version is $30 digital and $40 physical.

The game features five side missions. Known side missions include: a daytime mission, a VIP rescue mission, and the "Déjà Vu" and "Jamais Vu" missions. The story mission features the XOF patches dropped by Skull Face as collectibles. Collecting all the patches unlocks either the "Déjà Vu" mission on PS3 and PS4 or the "Jamais Vu" mission on Xbox 360 and Xbox One.

Conversely, the 360 version is pretty decent and is being hidden away for obvious reasons? :sherlock:
