DRIVECLUB - being put to sleep by Sony in March 2020

So, online racing is really starting to grate now. The game rewards bad driving, or should I say, does not penalise bad driving enough. When it comes to tight bends, if you barrel into them, hit the fence/wall/invisible boundary, you will bounce off and make the corner, at worse, as fast than if you slow down and take the corner properly. Result? everyone barrels into corners. And the people that do slow down to take them properly, get wiped out as people hammer into them. Is suspect its because there is no run off area in any of the track; if you get it wrong you are never more than a few feet from the track.

3 of us are online and cannot figure out how to organise a race where we can all play together... Is there an easy way to organise this? How can we ensure we race together?

Apologies if I'm being silly

Muz - try the Social Hub (triangle button). If you join one of your friends - and you all join the same one, then that friend acts as a handy shepherd, selecting multiplayer events for you all. It's not a private lobby, but at least you're playing together.

Anyone else not able to connect online with this today?

Really like this and new Japan tracks are really nice.

Yesterday we were upgrading the servers, please follow @DRIVECLUB for updates on any maintenance.

Not tried this today but will be back on this weekend. I believe we are going to get details of the next update today?

That's correct. Full details of February's update today!

We have been teasing some of the content for the past few days:

And this weekend we're running double FAME in multiplayer:

» Changes to drift scoring: to ensure that you are rewarded for momentum, control and staying on the track in drift zones.

» Lots more cars: We can't say what's coming just yet, but many of your most commonly requested cars and manufacturers are coming to DRIVECLUB, along with a few surprises.

» New ranks: because many of you are at Level 50 already.

» Lots more! Please keep sharing your feedback about DRIVECLUB with us to help the game continue to evolve around you.

Some nice additions in that update!

Can also see the Midnight tour pack being a bit of a bastard ;)

Midnight is certainly the harder of the two ;)

Oh and does the "unbeatable" trophy unlock retrospectively (i.e if you've already won over 5 of your own challenges but not been online at the time)?

Hopefully - be sure to let me know if it works for you after the update next week ;)

So... any word on the PS+ Edition?

The latest details were included in the notes above.

Server upgrades: to improve stability and performance for all current players and to enable the release of the PS+ Edition and DRIVECLUB companion app.

Does all content auto download if you have the season pass? It can be a bit of a pain tracking down all the free bits at the moment.

Afraid not. Easiest way to do is click on the banner on the PlayStation Dashboard beneath the DRIVECLUB logo (which is advertising new content) here it lists all available content and you can quickly add everything into the basket at once :)
