Hats off to Rushy and his team, terribly rocky moments and heartbreak at launch, but rather than taking the money, fucking over the supporters and reforming a new studio, you really came good.

I'd like to second that. Whilst DriveClub didn't turn out to be the game I'd hoped for, the support from its core team cannot be denied.

Had my first little blast on this today & I like it. The handling is very PGR4 like, which is not a bad thing at all. The tracks I've played on are nicely done & the weather/light effects are pretty good & the sound is phenomenal. Looks like Rushy's team made good eventually but games like this, BF & AC are poster boys for why games should be rigorously checked top to bottom before rushing them out.

If I could say one little thing of the current product from a noobs point of view is that the DLC related stuff should have a little letter symbol indicating which pack they belong to so that you don't waste time clicking on it & then waiting for the PS store to load up.

Just had a thought - why are there no Japanese cars in the game?

Just had a go in bed via remote play and I found myself quite impressed, though I probably won't play like that very much.

Rushy got annoyed that no Japanese person could pronounce his name properly so he kept storming out of all the meetings.

I seem to have returned to a really rather breathtaking experience, the implemented weather is mind blowing, and the sensation of traction on the road surfaces is sublime, I dont think ive had this much satisfaction holding a powersilde in a racer.

OK, now I'm interested. What about the actual game, its structure, online etc?

Also, has anything been said about the difference in package between the PS+ release and the paid-for release? Obviously the developers and publishers have got quite a job to ensure that those who've stumped up money for the game don't feel hard-done-by compared with the "freeloaders" who've just got the "free" PS+ version.

Or, is the future of Driveclub to be a subscription model based on a slim slice of a subscriber's PS+? In which case, is it worth buying a copy of Driveclub now before we've seen what's coming in the PS+ release?

Have you ever read anything about the game ever? The answers to all your questions came out months if not at least a year ago!

The structure is very simple. You have events and you have stars to obtain which then unlock later events. Simple but effective. Online is similar, events you enter with different tracks, car classes etc. No private lobbies as yet which it does suffer from as a result but they are coming in a later patch.

The PS+ version will have 1 country with 11 tracks and 11 cars available I think it is. It's not available as yet and not idea when it will be, it will allow you to upgrade to the full version.

If you like racing games then I think its worth just outright buying, its great racer despite its problems at launch and its only getting better with every passing month. Not to mention you'll be able to pick it up cheaply now too.

Drive cars. Game give you stars for drive cars good. Drive cars gooder to get more stars to get more cars to drive gooder and tracks to drive gooder on. Drive cars gooder until no more stars.

It's basically like Gran Turismo's arcade mode I guess, rather than the JRPG structure most modern racers have where you need to grind your way towards upgrades to clear races and level up your driving skill.

I've read a bit about it, but I get the impression it has had a very "fluid" technical and commercial plan over the past 6+ months, so what I'd original read would be way out of date.

I'm totally stuck on the first hyper cars part on the driveclub tour. It's like driving a fucking banana on wheels, but you can't let up off the accelerator as the AI just flies flawlessly round the track. Best i can manage is 6/8 and have totally hit a wall with this now. Kinda miss the paint-trading thrills of the lower classes where the slightest budge or wheel off track didn't result in a 180 turn wasting the entire run in the process.

Agreed, i sort off have gained abit more control with practice, but they are the most unenjoyable cars in the game. Problem is, every bloody event i'm on now has them, seriously curbing my interest and further progression.

Are there are any particular Hyper cars which you guys find troublesome? (The Enzo & Huayra are two of the easier to drive)

Best Tips for Hypers - Learn the braking points / Brake in as straight a line as possible / Minimise thottle imput in lower gears / ALWAYS be gradual on throttle application upon corner exit

I love the super and hyper cars both in single and especially multiplayer. I find the hot hatch and sports classes a bit boring now. Just give it time.

What rushy said is true: Some hypers are much better at sticking to the road than others. The McLaren P1 sticks like glue so is a good option if you're not enjoying hypercars much. Then later when you have some experience you can try incredible cars like the Hennessey Venom GT,

After racing a good bit online, there is a feature that I think would be easy to implement and would be nice...

If, at the end of the race, the leaderboard also listed the start position for the drivers in addition to the finish position, it would give a better sense of how each driver did. I find that if you start in the 1st through 4th position, you have a good chance of avoiding the chaos that often unfolds on the first few turns. But if you start near the back and make your way up to a decent position, it'd be nice to have that acknowledged at the end.

Rushy, if you're still looking for feedback, any chance of having an independent volume control for your own cars engine? I think this would be especially helpful when racing from the 'in car' view, where at present it can be easily drowned out by the surrounding cars (I'm just using my tv's speakers, perhaps it's better with a proper audio setup?).

In a future game update(s) we will be offering additional audio options to allow you to customise your experience based upon player feedback :)
