This is just so much fun. I'm about 20% in and now with a few additional powers there are so many ways to approach taking down DUP areas. The story is decent so far and as others have set the graphics and control are superb.

Infamousss' a rather small game isn't it? Just one session and already at 23%.

It's a streamlined Infamous and definitely more of the same. As a matter of fact, it feels more like an expansion pack. It's good to be playing such a game again, but I have some issues with it:

1. The graphics are... too realistic. This might be the weirdest criticism to hold against this game, but the game is weirdly hyper-realistic at some points and almost second rate at others.

2. Tactility has dropped. As in, it's almost non-existent. This makes me very, very sad as it's the reason I love this series. Cole wrestled through the city either by climbing, grinding or floating and Delsin is almost immediately equipped with more traversal power than Cole ever had. It smacks a bit of armchair design; there's no time to appreciate what you've unlocked because the next trinket is already being thrust upon you and once you have them, it doesn't really empower you and adds new layers. Everything's just open. Being able to use the vents to shortcut to the top of a building might be convenient, but in the previous games I felt like I was present in the city. Here the city just fades away to just being a backdrop instead of being an obstacle course.

3. Weirdly enough, as much as traversal has been streamlined to a fault, energy gathering has been given more friction. Cars are stil energy points, but you need to destroy them a bit to get them smoking.

4. Delsin's a git.

5. No seriously he's a git. I warmed up to Cole as I played, but Delsin's keeps making me angry.

6. I never expected nor got much from the stories in Infamous 1 and 2, but they were competent comic stuff. Infamousss feels incompetent. Augustine is the one character that stands out. The rest is just flat. Maybe it'll get better, but so far 'Reggie' is a far cry from Zeke and... oh yeah there's Betty. Great/

7. The 'Heisenberg' side missions can jump of a cliff.

8. Bloody, numbskull gimmick controls. You know the ones.

9. Why are we recycling the enemies from Infamous 2?

It's absolutely great to be playing Infamous again, but deary me, so far it's definitely the weakest in the series.

On the contrary, I was expecting to hate Delsin from the pre-release material but I really like him. He's really well acted and has great dialogue with the supporting cast. Much better than playing another bald gruff gym monster, he's certainly got personality.

This says to me you've barely scratched the surface and still only have the smoke power,I would give it a bit longer yet.

I'm really enjoying this. It's not the new messiah of open world action games by any means - it's essentially a last gen game in very snazzy current gen clothing - but it's super fun and looks amazing. And I actually like the cut scenes. My Delsin is a real arsehole - I started off on the good karma path, but killing everyone looked more enjoyable so I switched. Many hundreds of civilians have died!

I'm enjoying this a lot more since I got the neon powers. The smoke is just so much more limited and really limits your traversal fluidity in combat in comparison. Just got onto the bit across the bridge on the second island and it looks absolutely lovely too. So much neon against a beautiful dusk sky

It's incredibly repetitive, the mission design is quite average and it seems pretty short (I'm 48% complete and don't really feel like I've done THAT much) but the excellent visuals and the fun factor that comes into play once neon arrives makes it an enjoyable if unremarkable little jaunt.

Indifferent to the story and most of the characters but I do like the villain, who is quite the hateful cow.

I'm about 4 hours in and impressed so far. I've actually enjoyed the cut scenes unlike most here. It's lovely to play, feels just right - much more fluid and less annoying than AC4 (not having to hold down the run button through the whole game helps in that regard). One thing that bugs me though is Delsins voice - it doesn't sound like he's in the world more like he's... Well in a quiet studio in front of a microphone. It's jarring.

There's just the right amount of collectables/side missions for me - unlike AC4 which quite frankly went over the top and felt like a chore.

Also played for an hour in bed on Dat screen. It's very playable on Vita, especially when I realised I had to press the front screen and not the rear touchpad!

I'm really enjoying this. The neon powers are effortlessly entertaining. There are some really clever ways in which your offensive abilities are non-lethal when used with precision and care, avoiding collateral damage. They sort-of got this right in the second one, but they've nailed it down here.

I've heard it's about 14-16 hours to 100%. Sounds pretty good to me, the first two both went on too long. As did GTAV, SR4, AC4 etc. I don't need to repeat the same loop for 60 hours.

I've spent somewhere around 5-6 hours in this already I think. It's brill, loving it.

I wanted to do a pure, no civilians harmed play through, but then I blew up a tower and it fell on someone. And I accidentally blew up a holding pen with people in it. Doh.

After being super-hyped for this coming out, I love all the Sucker Punch games, I have somehow found that I've only played about an hour of this and a lot more of Towerfall, Luftrausers and a bit of Steamworld. This has been an amazing gaming week.
