inFAMOUS: Second Son

I keep hitting save only to wait for the saving process to finish. Sometimes I keep watching the options menu for almost half a minute before realising its an instant save.

I've done this a few times as well.

Is there any way to evil karma the drug busts, or do I just have to ignore them on my evil play through? I can execute the drug dealers just fine, but finding and destroying the stash comes up in blue.

Drug busts are your good karma options. Killing protestors and buskers are your bad karma options.

There should be police officers trying to arrest drug dealers

There often is - or they get into shootouts with them, at least. I took out the drug dealers and then the cops pointed their guns at me and said something like 'thanks for the help, but don't try anything, bio-terrorist!'.

Just loving this. Fantastic fun. Odd how the first 20% of the game goes so quick ,yet i've played another 4-5 hours since and am now on 29%. Even so I'm looking forward to my next , evil playthrough already. The fact it looks so good and open world bodes so well for next-gen, imagine something like Just Cause 3 in a few years time. Hats off to Sucker Punch for delivering such a beautiful and technically competent game so early on this gen,

Yeah, this is brilliant. I've just got the first unannounced power, and everything has dialled up to 11. It absolutely captures the best moments of previous Infamous games, and enables you to rain chaos on your enemies in spectacular style.

It's technically fantastic, espescially when you consider how smoothly it's pushing out all those particle effects and maintaining a rock solid frame rate.

In many aspects it does feel just like a shinier version of the last gen games, only bigger and better. As fun as it is, I can't really point to any game play element which feels like it would only be possible on the new consoles.

The only real disappointment with it so far is how repetitive the karma missions are, as there appears to be little to nothing outside of the repeated drug busts, which I do feel is a missed opportunity.

I've already sunk in excess of six hours into it, and I'm itching to get back to it. The story is compelling enough and whilst I was a little unconvinced by the central characters at the start of the game, they have good chemistry which endeared me to them as time has gone on.

So, after a bit of a lumbering beginning this gets really really good. Sure the side missions are repetitive but smashing the DUP forces never gets old and it definitely has a Crackdown vibe. I started to really enjoy it when I fully powered up Neon and started to feel like a badass. Now I relish the big fights with many enemies hoping I can build up by bad karma meter to unleash the big power.

Really impressed with the visuals too. I tried taking some screens and created a twitter but they come out really small. Is facebook any better? I don't use Facebook so will only use it for my PS4 if worth it.

One of the most impressive things for me in this game was I was on a rooftop and a car went past on the road casting perfect shawdows from its lights as they light up a tree. Coming from current gen you are so used to the little tricks that developers use to get around the machine's limitation (having a random thing cast that detailed shadows is unheard of). Seeing something like that feels like a genuine surprise

Finished it today, really loved the Neon power. Done all the shards, missions etc. Felt a bit short, but lovely.

Endless run makes moving around the city so smooth and enjoyable, and I just don't get tired of the drain effect.

Also the L1 Neon bomb is excellent, really can stack up the takedowns with it!

I liked Video but haven't really done much end-game mucking around with Concrete

What's the best way to take down enemies in this? I usually end up aiming and spamming the R2 button and/or Square.

Any better ways? I'm often having to run away because my health gets low fast.

Shot to the face with smoke, legs with neon (the L1 bomb helps), smoke has a L1 gas bomb that lets you do takedowns and

You can turn invisible with Video and stealth it.

As graphics improve, the little inconsistencies become more jarring I find. For instance at the start there were fantastic looking puddles in the road, reflecting the environment and looking about as good as video game puddles have looked. Only problem is Delsin walks over the top of them Jesus style, not even a ripple. I realise that sounds incredibly petty to pick out, but it was something I noticed.

If, like I was, anyone was wondering how to change Delsins jacket once you unlock more then press Options then R2 to change to Surveillance Target screen, then press X and finally left or right to change it.

Was not obvious to me!

The easiest way to take out most bad guys (ie the generic DUP dudes), is L1 smoke bomb and then dash subdue/kill. You can take out the armoured cars with this technique; blast the car to get it to stop, lob a smoke grenade to go off just as they get out and then subdue them all. You can take out all 4-5 guys without getting hit.

Twitter has a very small size limit for images, so that's why. Facebook should be better, though I haven't tried that yet.

The views are lovely. (very early in the game, so hopefully not a spoiler)

It's not the most stunning screenshot, but as a map, it just feels so well put together, you get the feeling that even the places far back are reachable, they feel part of the game world.
