I still think it's a bit of a shame you have to have the CD in the tray for verification when you install to HDD, I understand why you can't, it's just a bit of a shame.

I totally get having the disc in - what I don't get is when you have say a 2 disc game you can install both but always keep disc 1 in the drive - forza4 did it in some weird fashion because it was basically cars & tracks and they were obviously treated differently but something like MP3 or particularly Mass Effect (where you can find yourself jumping between discs) it would be nice to install all of it but only need disc 1 in the drive to play - can't be that hard to implement surely.

Good point, hopefull with everyone using BRs in the next gen this sort of silliness will be lessened.

Until we get multi-Bluray games that is...

I thought the PS+ thing was more than a rental, so I suppose my initial post does still sort of stand. Either way, my point was that it would be a good idea to have these sales more often - I didn't think it was that inflammatory that it deserved a neg. Ah well.

What you're forgetting here is that the xbox can play games without a hard disk - and just a memory card... so any data that is "required" (in mass effect) like an animation or cut scene must be on the disc in the drive...

Stupid Microsoft dual sku format on the 360...

(edit: sure, you could make it so that "if the game is installed then do this instead" - but that has it's own issues... not least QA)

A list of all the games that looked like they are sale items. (Below a tenner) (This was a power browse on my phone. Some games will no doubt have been missed.)

(List as of 12:00 4/3/13)

How did you do this as I wanted to filter GOD by price as some maybe £11.99 but just not advertised.

Off topic but is it possible to use two harddrives for one profile as the sale has filled my HD and as I'm a bit of a hoarder I'd rather have my collection more to hand rather than having to delete & redownload content.

Had a bash on L4D2 with a mate and the swapping profiles about shenanigans, worked a treat!

Thanks again to everyone that explained how to do it in thicky speak for me, Camel especially.

It'd pretty good, we just got to the mall but got battered every time we were on the way to switch the 3rd floor alarm off. Unfortunately, another mate was making music, so we had to play it on silent which detracted from the experience a bit.

Verdicts on games picked up so far:

HAW: hahahahaha!

Resident Evil 6: whuh?

SFIVAE: I need a proper stick.

Success so far then!

Resi 6 is all about brawling. Use quickshot to set up melee takedowns like a boss.

I think I need a proper stick for Arcade Edition too. I know from the iPhone version (in which I can actually do them, weirdly) that ultimates are practically mandatory.

Though I'd never want to deny anyone the fun of playing the best videogame ever (SSF4AE) using the best videogame accessory ever (Madcatz TE stick), I suspect that instead of buying a stick right now you would both get much more benefit from putting a good record on your stereo, turning the game music off and spending an hour or so in training mode with input display turned on to see what directions you're actually inputting when you think you're inputting an ultra motion, and to get used to the motion you need to make so that your fingers don't freak out when you try to do it against a moving target. Basically, get a stick once you're addicted to the game, not in order to try and get addicted to it in the first place!

Bought GTA4 after reading some reviews of Sleeping Dogs and playing the demo. I've got GTA4 on PS3 but not touched it in years and fancy a go again before 5 later this year.

I see GTA:SA is 1200 points, tempted to pick that up too.
