Liverpool Football Club Thread - Champions 19/20

We were very poor that half no-one linking up the play and always passing backwards.

Arnold little run past players was nice but he should have shot.

Minamino looks to be lacking in confidence, but is putting in the effort. Tweak in the second half, and we'll be good. Jota and Shaqiri both showing their class, but Origi is really not helping his cause any. He's utterly clueless. Yes, maybe we're not playing to his strengths, but he's doing a good job of hiding what they actually are. If ever a player needed a boot up the backside, it's him.

Andy Robertson is quickly regressing as a footballer. 90% of the time if he’s given the ball he’ll either twat it forward hoping someone will control it, or pass it back to the centre back. I think it’s down to how reliant he is on his left foot, he seems scared to play the ball with his right.

On the contrary, he’s been the more productive of the two full-backs this season.

You say he’s regressing but he’s never really used his right foot. What did he used to do well that he’s getting worse at?

That was a ridiculously long time to check as clear a penalty as you’re likely to see.

Atalanta and Ajax draw 2-2, which is nice.

Edit: other milestone goals:

Any injury update on Fabinho?

Out for the next two games, doubtful for Man City was the last I read. Matip apparently available for selection on Saturday though. Will be nice to have him back for 48 minutes.

Matip plays one game and has the next six off to recover. Hopefully Fabinho will be back for the city game.

Latest on Fabinho is the tear is grade one or two, so most likely he’s back after the international break.

Not ideal, but imagine there will be a glut of muscle injuries this season, hopefully very few grade threes, which are a bastard to recover from.
