Questions

Where does Henderson fit in our list of greatest ever captains? He has to be staking a claim for greatest of all.

Rightly so, only Shankly and Paisley have a statue. Does Klopp get one when he leaves?

They might have ugly crying faces but a statue of this moment would encapsulate Klopp and Hendersons partnership as manager and captain.

We don't make it easy, heart can take these finals, please just win the CL in regular time

Knew Mane would miss his penalty,  being international team mates with Mendy you expect the keeper to have some insight. Delighted that Tsmikas got the winner.

Beating Chelsea in 2 finals in 1 season, fucking beautiful.

As a person who embodied exactly what you want a captain to be, Henderson is perfect. Think King Kenny is the club’s greatest ambassador and what he did after Hillsborough for the grieving families transcended football. Yet that lad from Sunderland, once a transfer window away from being sold to Fulham, is as great a role model we could hope to have leading the side on and off the pitch, perhaps only surpassed off it be his manager.

Get the sense Klopp isn’t one for such honours being bestowed on him, but if the club wins even a couple more trophies under his remaining time at the club, there has to be some sort of permanent reminder of what he’s achieved. Doubters to believers in-fucking-deed.

Tbh Klopp deserves a statue for finally getting us the PL title alone. Everything else on top of that just goes towards the argument for him having a stand named in his honour.

They are tough questions to answer. On purely footballing terms you'd say not, but his captaincy has shown how much there is to the man, he's a credit to the club and the community and clearly has a powerful voice and the respect of other captains within the PL. So I guess the real question is what are the parameters of the question?

As for Klopp, I think he'd much rather a statue made of the fans in the Kop than one of him

Both are amazing characters and people and they will be immortalised within the club in some way regardless.

Yeah, Henderson. Not a fan at all as a player but it would take an idiot to say he hasn't grown into a great captain. He leads so well, seems to use his voice for good and genuinely seems a good lad. Liverpool did well with him. Extremely well.

Henderson, as a captain, is the best of the Premier League era. None can compare to what he has achieved at the club so he definitely deserves some recognition.

I would also suggest those that think he is a limited player are fruit cakes. He isn't a marauding superstar like Gerrard, who wanted to do everything himself, which is essentially why he fits the team and club right now.

The discipline and determination shown by Henderson regularly is exactly why he is part of a team who have won everything there is to at club level. He is a consistent top level performer and leader.

Even if City did lose, the goal difference would be have won it for them anyway (well, unless Villa managed to get something off them in their final game, which is also unlikely.) I'd settle for the two domestic cups as a very good season (and obviously hope for a nice CL win.)

I think oddly the draw there is better than a West Ham win. Because now we can just win both games rather than chase goal difference and potentially have another Palace.

Stevie is going to take points on the final day.

It's a real shame that Man City are going to wrap up the league now. Because Liverpool will surely win the champions League.

It would have been monumental and they deserve it.

It’s a shame West Ham couldn’t hold on but Liverpool were never clawing back that goal difference. Just need to beat Southampton and hope for a Coutinho redemption moment from Villa but with that game at the Etihad I doubt it will happen.

Dying embers of the game at the Etihad. City 1-0 up... Coutinhooooooooooooo

Or as it will be Tyler oh Coutinho. VAR maybe, please, Villa were offside in the 67th minute they need to look at that

The only thing Villa will get from that game is a beating and maybe some red cards. City intentionally dropped some points today to force us into playing strongest team in the chase and putting a CL win at risk

Tuesday night determines everything. City needing a win in the last game is the only chance we have. Coutinho is the best player in the world a couple of times a season, afetr all!
