I really don't like Saturday lunch time games for us. I don't doubt records will prove me wrong but we really seem to struggle in them

I think most teams tend to fare poorly in them, not just us. I recall reading years ago teams don't like them because it messes completely with their routines.

Well, that was lacking.  I'm afraid Curtis Jones is bringing nothing to the game apart from dawdling on the ball too much.  We are very much lacking one of Mo or TAA down the right as we have to play wide due to the middle being so packed.

Forest have been ... let's say industrious with their defending. We're getting no space, and probably need someone to put their foot on the ball. Alas, Thiago. We could also do with getting Salah into Kouyate's face, because he's off with one more foul. I like that Williams guy, he could be good back-up for Trent!

 

Fitness should determine this one, they are bound to tire with that workrate. We need patience, and not to try forcing it.

Jones isn't ready to come back in yet still needs a couple more weeks to get to full fitness by the looks of it.

On Saturday kick off times. I'd rather see it move to 1730 & 1930 for two evening games if they must have two live games.

Jones is trying to fill the Thiago role, no player in the squad can fulfill that role so they need to change it up. Jones is a trickier player who wants to beat the opposition with the ball at his feet rather than dictate the match like Thiago does.

 

I think Henderson and Fabinho would be a better solution, change it up and give Elliott and Carvalho more freedom to get forward.

I was pretty sheepish and kept quiet after the City game because Gomez did well but today has illustrated exactly why I don't rate him, the bloke just simply can not concentrate. Been a terrible performance for him personally.
