That's not what the offside rule was designed for. I hate it. We are talking one player leaning slightly more than another, possibly because of body shape.

1. NOBODY CARES if a player is leaning so far forward that he is offside. I don't want that to be offside, and neither do you

Yes, you are right it's crap but in this day and age that's a clear offside to me.

The ones when players are running back and their heel is offside or their nose, are the annoying ones for me.

Only thing I can think of is they literally don't want to make a decision without a definitive graphic in front of them.

Darwin was onside, but I would not complain if it stays at 1-0. We didn't need VAR, but it was worthwhile, I guess. I totally assumed at first glance that he was offside!

Id rather play any of them over say Atletico Madrid or something. We beat Man City this season but lost to Nottingham Forest.

 

Also who knows what the landscape will be in Feb. Great win tonight though, solid and no silly mistakes. Not often you get 15 points in the group stage and don’t win your group…

Yep, I'd much rather the club were actually competing and in the last 16 regardless of the opponents.

 

The club will have lots of time to get the players not attending the world cup up to speed and hopefully get a good training camp.

If, and it's a big if at the minute, this side wins anything, his antics are going to be off the charts. Expect him in the Sandon in full-kit then end up on a fishing boat to Dublin. "Lads, lads, I know a place!"

 

The Bellingham links have started appearing again (if they ever stopped) Can't see there being a budget for him without selling... Anfield?, and the squad is going to need a wider refresh than just one (very, very good) player. Benfica instead of PSG now. Considering how many teams have broken their duck against us so far this season I can see us getting them and being on the end of the hiding for a change.
