Due to my recent bout of unemployment, I've been catching up on The Professionals also on ITV 4 during the day. I'm surprised they haven't tried to reboot these types of old programs with some new edgier angle. Perhaps they have but just called it something else.

The Professionals where made around 1980-ish and is interesting to see all the 'dangerous' protagonists are the old enemies; Soviet spies, African despots, A-rabs (as they get pronounced), proper hitmen (ie not terrorists trying to blow a shit ton of people up, tho there have been) etc.

Currently its been bumped for Tour de France coverage :(

They did make The New Professionals. On Sky in 1999. It was shit and made even shitter by Sky cutting it to bits to fit more ads in. I'm fairly sure there's a permanent rumour of someone somewhere preparing a movie too.
