The vehicles of Halo 2:

Returning

- The Warthog

- The Scorpion Tank

- The Ghost

New Human Vehicles:

- The Gauss Warthog [3 passengers]

- The Rabbit ATV [1 passenger]

New Alien Vehicles:

- The Banshee Aircraft [1 passenger]

- The Shadow Assault Vehicle [3 passenger]

- The Wraith Tank [1 passenger]

Some of the new multiplayer Levels:

Hot Zone:

An medium sized outdoor level, that closely resembles the New Mombasa level featured in the E3 Demo. Consisting of twisting streets, bridges, towering buildings ( some which can be entered, for great sniping spots ), staircases and ledges with turrets. Guaranteed to take over Blood Gulch as the new favorite CTF level.

Amazonia

A dark, lush jungle level that resembles the "Timberland" level of Halo PC, but a whole lot better looking and atmospheric. Rolling Hills dotted with tall, thick rooted trees and winding paths between shallow rivers.

Inner Sanctum

A level inside the belly of the UNSC Cruiser Renaissance. Small strobe-lit corridors interconnect two large multi-level hangars with massive pressure lock windows with breathtaking vistas of planet Earth. Turrets on the second level make getting on top a critical necessity.

Levels returning from Halo: Blood Gulch, SideWinder, Hang'em High. Additionaly 2 levels of Halo PC are also availible: Death Island and Danger Canyon.

So we're upto 24 players online/LAN - can't wait for this at the meets!

That really sounds incredible, and 24 players. If this is true, it's great.

edit: That wasn't in bold when I clicked 'quote'!

If this is true I assume it means u can play over the net using something like xbconnect.

I have no interest in 24 players at all. 12 is enough/too many.

However, what REALLY matters is that you get all the customisation options you had in Halo one, even for Live games.

Bet you do when you've done it.

"I was playing PGR2 with this guy. His rank was like 46. He said he never played in rooms with more than 4 people. Way to go social gaming!"

Changed your mind, eh?

I wonder how the 'interactive air support' works then? Who chooses when/where (if indeed you can)? Will there be a General for each side, and they can utilise them? If so, how does he choose where the strikes go? Will a little map pop up?

Questions, and indeed, questions.

yeah thats cool, nerds in fear of actually being sociable can use the headset to pretend their playing partner isn't actually sat next to them

As for that shot of all the marines on the beach, I guess they're using sprites to have that many onscreen at once, trouble is they look a bit samey tho don't they

I got the impression that cos they were all the same, it was some kind of hack / cheat / whatever and not actual ingame action.

Bach, in Las Vegas for the annual Consumer Electronics Show, declined to commit to a launch for highly touted "Halo 2." The original "Halo" is the Xbox's top seller, and most expectations have been for the new game to come out in early April or thereabouts.

"We're going to ship it when it's ready," Bach said. "That might be the first half of 2004, it might not. You have to be careful with franchises like this."

looks like it might not make April then.
