What I don't get s how Rocky Balboa has gone from a world champion who single handed defeated communist Russia to some broken bum. Maybe in this universe Rocky 2,3 and 4 didn't exist.

This could actually be really good... Just hoping they don't lose what made the previous fight scenes so strong.

I went the distance and made my way through all six Rocky films (and worked them out, best to worst here: http://www.alexkidman.com/?p=3794),so I figure I'm ready for this. That second trailer, though, does make me think that they're trying a little bit too hard to get the original Rocky genie back in the bottle.

Yeah I know. Rocky III surprised me, because I had fond memories of it at the time and figured it would still stand up. Suspect it might (in the same cheesy way as IV) if the end fight was better paced.

When it comes to sports movies, boxing would have the best line-up for a movie marathon, wouldn't it?

Thinking American Football might run the sweet science close, but hard to look beyond a collection that could contain movies such as, Rocky, Raging Bull, The Fighter, Million Dollar Baby, The Hurricane, Cinderella Man and Somebody Up There Likes Me.

Anyway, excited to see Creed, Stallone is usually a likable screen presence and Michael B. Jordan one of the more watchable starlets in Hollywood, although I'm slight biased because he shone in Friday Night Lights.

While it's pleasing to hear it's great and doing well, part of me just wishes they'd left it with Rocky V because it's all so desperately sad seeing Rocky alone having outlived all his dearest friends and family, bar his son who now lives on the other side of the country or something.
