This game is so good with the 100% xp boost on our server. There's content coming out of our wazoos with about 20 dungeons and 12 or so instanced boss fights unlocked so far and we are still going through the old content from before the first expansion.

Probably the longest I've played an mmo in years and I can't see us stopping any time soon.

Come and join us on the Omega server!

Yup. It's mind boggling how much there is to do. Its also such a chill, relaxing game to play with no arseholes throwing tantrums in dungeons and has a generally friendly community from my experiences with @spork so far. Its a rock solid package with a silly amount of polish. Fantastic to play with a gamepad too!

Is this an enjoyable game, I've never played it.

Is there like a free version??

There's a free version. Well, sort off...

That free trail allows you to play up to lvl 35 (with every class/job) and doesn't have a time/days played limit so you can take your time to get a feel for everything. You can also continue where you left off if you upgrade to the full game. There are two tiers of subscription - a "lite" one allows 1 character per server and a full sub that allows multiple characters. The nice thing about the game though is that you can do everything on 1 character due to the way the class/job system works.

CDKeys would be the place to buy it for anyone interested. They have the base game plus both expansions for £18 and that price also includes 30 days. And if you roll on Omega server, which is nicely populated with newer players, you'll get an additional 15 days on top of that once you hit level 30.

How long does it take to reach lvl 35?

Can't remember how long it took us, but I imagine if you were determined you could do it in a few days on our server with the 100% xp boost. That will just be for one class though. When you switch to a new one you'll need to level that from level 1 so there is potentially a lot to try out in the free trial.

I played it ages ago before I bought a PS4 (I played on PS3) so I'd definitely be wanting to start again. Would I struggle to find content to level all of those classes to 35 and would I be shooting myself in the foot by not being able to gain XP on the other classes whilst doing this? I'm a bit fuzzy on how the multiple classes thing works.

Nope.

With the 100% XP you can pretty much level your main character just by following the story quest and doing the relevant dungeons as they open up. I've then got a few other classes up to 30ish just by doing dungeons and the hunting log and the occasional low level quest. I plan to level other classes up at some point by mopping up all of the other quests I've left while doing the story.

It was Mitchell at a Sheffield meet, he was very insistent that I ate a massive crisp that he was holding and when I kept refusing he kept insisting that I have the massive crisp. I think I was still drunk when I made it my sig.

I have only just seen this.

I'm having a little pootle about again in this, see how I feel about it before I decide on Shadowbringers.  Anyone else still playing?  I assume not!

Me and @Sieplayed a bit last year, got into the last expansion content before burning out. The thought of going back to it after so long out and trying to remember all of the skills from even just 1 class makes it feel a bit pointless!

Coming up to two years on it now and I’m still on most days. Will be getting Shadowbringers for sure.

I've gone back to this recently after a break just as 4.4 released. Finished Alphascape earlier, was fun forgetting what is left and right for a bit.

You mean you didn't know the difference between larboard and starboard?!  So many wipes on that one mechanic.

That’s right and left, respectively, right? ;)

I had a friend who gave me a massive hint based on if it was the same thing done twice or not determining whether you needed to move. That way I only had to remember left or right once each time
