Kimberly seems nice!

I don't know what it is about her, the arrogance is alright as she is genuinely very good but when I find myself preferring Ruby you know somethings not right. It's possibly because I don't think she has a sense of humour.

The only thing I don't like about this show is Sue Perkins' OTT put-on showbiz voice. When she screams the catchphrase instead of just saying it, it really puts my teeth on edge. Grrr.

Both her and Mel are intensely irritating and mar what would be a fun show to the point that I can't really watch it. That applies to any show in which Sue and/or Mel are involved.

Also, Ruby is very annoying too.

I like Ruby. Kimberley is all "Ohhh I've never done this before, honest" and then soullessly constructs a well-practised textbook example of something. Ruby is all "I have no idea what I'm doing lol" and puts together something that works by the skin of her teeth. I haven't seen the latest ep though.

Eh? Kimberley is usually "Yep, I know how to make that", and then she does it.

I always want to see that Hollywood fella and the desiccated coconut bake under the tight conditions the contestants do (they do a bit of this in Master Chef).

There is simply is no reason the judges shouldn't cook alongside the contestants to show them what a perfect bake should be. It's irrational and it makes me mad.

I don't like Kimberley. She's always pretending that she's not sure if something is good, while it's clear on her face that she think she's done brilliantly. Watching Paul tell her it hasn't worked is great; it wipes the smile off both her faces.

Frances' rodent face when she's given positive feedback would go too far if she was crowned champion. Ruby for the win!

With Kimberley, someone up thread nailed it - she'll give you the best damned thing you just asked for. It just won't be.. interesting. Or different. Very mechanical.

Already said it, but I'm tired of Rubys whimpering self-pity. She's got to be absolute hell to live with - "Oh, I've just won the lottery... but it isn't enough to buy the small island I always wanted...waaaaah". Calling Frances rodent-like is unfair, I don't think she's the best but I do always look forward to what she will come up with, because it will be an interesting idea or twist. I don't think she is the best baker of the remaining three.

Beca was by far the best personality.

Bullshit, this is baking we're talking about. There's one way to do it right. You can't just free-style with baking. Well you can but it'll be a fucking mess - like what Ruby makes. Oh, it tastes good does it? Yeah it tasted good in the bowl before she splattered it al over the baking tray. Tasting good isn't enough.

Have I been negged for disliking Mel & Sue? Or for disliking Ruby?

:)

It's pretty funny that anyone could care enough about such stupendously irritating people. Mel & Sue were fucking singing the name of a cake in the last show I saw for Christ's sake. It's like they've been injected with pure, undiluted AmDram..

I'm not quite enjoying the show as much this year as past ones (although I still think James was robbed last year).

Anyhow - I liked Ruby in the first couple of weeks as she looked like a realized version of Halo Jones. But yes, it's pretty obvious Paul's taken a shine to her and her attitude frustrates me each week.

Kimberley's my favorite though. Very infectious smile.

Can't imagine Frances winning but would like her to. Actually this year I don't really care for anyone in the final really. Which is useful as a: I'm out on final night and b: the Apple keynotes on as well and C daughter watches Glee so I won't get to watch it until Thurs at the earliest

I love Sue Perkins - she's so bad she's good. Always saying the most inappropriate thing, like that autistic kid in school who just never knew when to shut up.. :D

Kimberley is the kind of baker I'd be, so competitive it hurts - everything hyper rehearsed. If they don't like her bake, her face flashes a "I'll kill you all" look for a millisecond before she recovers. Ruby is insufferable - "oh, it'll be rubbish.. I don't know what happened.. you like it? Oh.. hmm..". Also, I'm getting MASSIVE anorexia vibes off her - when I was anorexic, I couldn't stop baking either.

Frances is mad - I would love for her to win, in spite of her style over substance bakes. Rodent face for president!
