So another month, another rather meh selection:

Quote

Frost Punk + The Rifts DLC

Pathfinder Kingmaker - Explorer Edition

Book of Demons

Cryofall

Okami HD

Night Call

Eliza

Project Warlock

The Hex

Warstone TD

Shenzhen I/O

Underhero

The only thing that remotely would interest me is Pathfinder. None of the others do (and, for those that have it, Book of Demons, Frost Punk and Night Call are all on Game Pass anyway).

I would recommend The Hex, I played it recently and it’s clever and interesting, but go in blind if possible. When RPS reviewed it, they said: “...while The Hex doesn’t quite reach Pony Island’s feeling of a near-perfect package, it’s a far bigger, more complicated, and astoundingly ambitious game.”

Eliza and Shenzhen I/O are both excellent as well.

Is the rifts the most recent dlc? If so, that is nice to have in there. Pathfinder is a great addition too and hasn't been on any other service yet I believe. I'd say this is a strong month and one that is consider getting.

Nope. The Last Autumn is the latest dlc. Rifts is meant to ok, and is a decent bonus.

Yeah, I'm on my third pause at the moment, of the scant few games I've been interested in, they are either on Game Pass or I already have them. Really rather regret getting the annual subscription at the moment - so the ability to pause is a real blessing.

Just a thought, those of you on the full thing, how much are you paying? I now regret not locking in, as I would have taken last month's bundle for pathfinder and probably this month's too. If I sub now, I have to pay £16 for 9 games (of the full 12) which isn't quite so appealing as the £9 offer that I have in my inbox last month but stupidly didn't take.

These are just DRM codes? so nothing stopping someone on the classic plan from passing the codes on to another account right? They aren't locked to your account?

tbh, the last few months after deciding to sign back up after being a previous "classic" member have shown that i don't want it any more, its simply not as good as it was.

The games do not interest me for the price, especially in comparison to game pass!

I would agree with this - the quality of the games has gone drastically downhill.

I presume because developers can get better deals on other services now, Humble aren't the only 'free' game show in town.

You can have mine at the end of the month, when they unlock.

I've paused every month since the change (only signed up for Spyro and Crash Bandicoot) but I thought they got rid of the whole waiting for games to unlock thing?

Also, people mentioning xbox gamepass. They aren't really comparable are they?

I had psplus for about 5 years, paid a few hundred quid into it, unsubbed and now I have zero games to show for my money. If it was humble monthly I'd still have the games.

They unlock when payment is taken, on the last Friday of the month. I can pay early, but there's nothing there I'm desperate to get my hands on.

Can someone help me understand how this Humble Choice thing works? No doubt I'm being dim but I can't really understand it. It says:

We curate 10+ PC games for you to choose from every month!

You choose up to 9 from the list to keep forever!

What does that actually mean?

Basically I want to buy F1 2019 and I don't know whether I should just buy it on Steam (currently £13.49) or if it would be better value and/or easier to get it as part of Humble Choice.

If I pay them £11.99 do I get to own F1 2019? Can I have it today or do I have to wait for something to unlock? Would I get something else as well? (I think the £11.99 tier says "choose 3 games" - are those from the list above, and are they all registered to me forever?) Are you locked in for a certain period, or could I sub once, get F1 and then immediately unsub?

Tell you what. If it's just F1 you want and you don't mind waiting til the bundle goes live you can have my code. I'm on the legacy classic option so get 10 choices and there's some duplicates. Happy to send you the code when I get it :)

To answer your question, for future reference - yes, you get to keep it. You get a steam key, it's the same as if you bought the game directly from Steam. At the lowest tier, you'll get three games from the selection, your choice as to which those are. You can cancel your sub at any time.

Payment is automatic on the last Friday of the month, or you can pay early and get the games right away - there's no waiting involved if you don't want to.

As such, it is always better value to get the game via Humble Choice than pay more for the game on Steam - there are no drawbacks.

That would be amazing, thank you so much!

No worries. I'll pm you the gift link when it unlocks :) I have zero interest in (or ability at) driving games so it'll be going to a better home :)

I just got a voucher in my inbox offering me my first month of choice for $6 so I've signed up. The only games I desperately want from this month are planet coaster and fell seal.

However, I'm really gutted that I missed out on pathfinder last month so if anyone hasn't use their code for that yet and passed on this month, I'd happily swap one or more of these for it:

AI War 2

Battle Chasers: Nightwar

Death's Gambit

Etherborn

EXAPUNKS

F1® 2019 Anniversary Edition

198X

My Friend Pedro

Niffelheim

Turok

April's selection. I've personally skipped this month - I'd be down for Hitman to get all the campaigns, maybe Raiden V and This Is The Police 2, but I've already got Turok 2 and Gris through sales and I don't care much about the rest.

Honestly, that's a fantastic selection. Hitman 2, Gris and Opus Magnum are all brilliant (Hitman 2 is genuine top ten of the decade material), and there's plenty of interest amongst the rest.

Decent enough selection again and for the tenner a month I pay more than happy with the value for money but a little disappointing that for the third month in a row we’re lacking more than one heavy hitter and I am getting a little sick of the sheer volume of Zachtronics puzzlers, given they are decidedly niche ( and not a niche I care for).

Was really hoping for a Nier Automata or Yakuza 2 as I know the second I give up and buy them in a sale they will go in the bundle!!
